this is drinkable but rather forgetable.... Green Spot / Redbreast 12 / Writers Tears as starting point for sipping neat with a bit of personality without breaking the bank (edited)
I find it difficult to drink neat whiskey, maybe it's just the price range I put on it. I drink to get drunk usually, I go to bourbon/vodka when I can't physically handle anymore lager. I'll have a look at your recommendations but some times a good neat drink isn't cost efficient when mixed with coke. When 80% of your drink is pepsi max it's hard to judge the character of a whiskey. I go to bourbons because they mix well and their flavour pours in to the mixer, bulleit bourbon is so good for 20 odd quid.
