Agreed. Had mine over a year and, despite being used daily, still as good as new. Great price. Heat added.

Good knife set is good.

The youth of today will like them because the of funky colours to compare them on street corners

Sad Britain is Toast

Looks great for the price.. Just wish it came in a funky knife block - was looking for something functional as well as decorative.....

I have these, got them last year, they are decent and still cutting well

Heat just for the fact that it's an Argos deal that is actually in stock in most stores.

Great knives great price

Like them, but annoyingly I have just bought a magnetic knife rack.

Most people on this site would see this as a helpful post for some good quality funky knives...whereas you see it as a chance to make a tenuous and pretty lame political comment. You might want to consider directing your comments to a more receptive audience (although obviously struck a chord with jenn101 LOL).

Thanks OP. I have these knives and they are the best three knives in our cutlery drawer....might be an average price but well worth posting. Thinking I might get an extra set.

Thanks for posting, getting 2 sets, one for me and one would be a great gift !!!

Really good knives. We got a set last year and they're still like new, will be getting another set.

Britain is a war-ring nation and that's how we reached all corners of globe.

Heat added Got them from Argos last year for £9.99

Like them, but annoyingly I have just bought a magnetic knife rack.

And ... ? Are you thinking they're ceramic? They're not, they're stainless steel. Although stainless steel is less magnetic than ordinary steel the magnetic rack should work fine.

but these are magnetic

Be careful with these - bought them on Monday and sliced my thumb while washing them (and yes, I was being careful and not running the cloth down the blade...)

Sharpest knives I've ever used - much better than the £30 ones I bought a few years ago.

Yep not good.

Does Jamie actually use these...Nope didn't think so!

Good compared to what? They seem a bit cheap to be proper chef's knives.

Presumably these are colour coated?

Going by reviews the handles won't fall off after few months like they have on a cheap set we got for our student house from Wilko!

It's the knife set Jamie Oliver's kids use. Pretty colours make them look like toys.

Argos seem to have these on this offer every few months. I really hate having knives marked 'cheese' and 'meat' etc as if the cheese might catch fire if you used a meat knife on it.

Also Argos plaster all their boxes with really horrible sticky labels you can't peel off. Am I the only one who finds that infuriating?

No, I don't have anything useful to say. I'm just skiving. Don't mind me.

Jamie has to do this cos he is so poor. Not bad knives but the green blade is serrated not so pleasant to use. They hold a blade and are easy to sharpen

Might be helpful to some who are seriously contemplating these. They are normally more expensive than £9.99, but that's what we paid for them. Never seen Argos doing them for £7.99 before.

This is a great set of knives. Very sharp (as mentioned above) and they last a long time. Highly recommended!

great!! cheers!!

Bought these at 9.99 about a year ago still like new despite being used a lot! Never lose them either because of the colours

That's great - I thought they were ceramic, so thanks Dodge62 and Saintledger - just ordered.:D

I keep mine on a magnetic rack and they hold great

There brilliant, they're not chef knives but very sharp for the price, and they sharpen up well too. I bought a set over a year ago and they're still going strong. Picked up a second set because they're such good value.

Great knives reserved two more sets, fab presents

Got these last year, great wee knifes. I think it was around £5 for them but still good deal.
