12.99 in dunelm mill so hot at this price

Why use knives when you can 'wazz' it up in the food processor?

My Friend has this set and they are well built & good quality knives. I even opened a bottle of wine with the blue knife by piercing the cork and twisting. And to my surprise the knife did not permanently break, buckle or deform, however it did flex!!!

Yeah I saw similar colourful knives for cheap recently, worries me that kids will see them as toys I wouldn't buy these if I had young children, even if its a good deal

What are knives doing near children in the first place???

Bit of a silly comment this.....

OMG thank you - I love these! Thanks, ordered to store!!

Lol kids having access to any knife if a concern not just colourful ones

You don't have kids and it shows!

Not sharp at all. Bought a set on Groupon a while back. But still a good price :-(

My thoughts exactly... if my four year old daughter sees a knife on the kitchen unit, she knows not to touch it, however, I'm not sure whether she would leave them alone if she saw these as they are similar in colour to her play knives...

dont agree with this... my daughter is 4 and very tall for her age so she can reach up on the kitchen counter and get a knife that was not even near to the edge, but we have taught her not to, and so she doesnt, but I would be worried that she would mistake one of these for a toy knife

Thanks for the link, 35 5 star reviews on Amazon, I hope they are that good (_;), reserved, plenty in Manchester arndale..

I feel the same way. I was going to buy a red car last week & I had to stop myself & think hard.

Is red a suitable colour for a car ? The kids may think its a toy & take it for a joy ride round Alton Towers.......

I wont even get onto my wife's Ann Summers collection of dildo's......................

IF you teach someone how to use an item properly there is far less chance of a problem occuring (matches, knives etc) ..with that in mind i've taught my kid how to use a a fire flint & striker, get her to help me set a good fire in our woodburning stove, & light it, as well as the use of kitchen knives & other implements, she's been chopping veg for a few years now & is pretty good, I don't need to hover over her, she's also started whittling with knife & wood pieces, cutting herself actually taught her to respect the whittling knife & sharp blades of which she had no experience or knowledge, safer in the long run to teach them early, promotes trust. responsible use rather than the screaming ab dabs over a will she won't she moment brought on by sheer stupidity from being shepherded away from everything & anything.

Teaching her has meant she's pretty handy & critical with a pumpkin, as was demonstrated (as I recall) by her entry in the pumpkin carving comp, she can put "some" adults to shame, started her at 5yrs with sharps.

don't smother a kid, teach em!

http://pumpkinpalooza.weebly.com/uploads/7/2/9/6/7296940/9077752_orig.jpg ..my kid couln't do stuff like this without learning to use a knife (hukd pumpkin entry when 7 yrs old ..her simpler but favourite entry in fact).

cheers, just got a set

Damn, these look like a good deal but I'm sadly allergic to blue.

Reserved and picked up a half price Tefal frying pan too

Just gave them a go chopping up a few spuds for dinner - certainly makes a change from the steak knife and 2 blunt hand me downs from my brother I usually use!

Cheers OP, decent funky looking knives for under a tenner, can't fault it!!
