Had one of these since January and they are great, really gets you walking a lot more!!

They are cheap now because a second version is out with a more secure strap but don't be put off, Jawbone will send you an activity clip FOC which keeps it in place and as these were £90 originally this is a good price.

The app is excellent, and it appears to be accurate.
It was a toss up between this and the Fitbit Flex, at about £60.

Thanks for the tip about the activity clip. The clasp was my one concern so will contact Jawbone to request.
Here is the link for the clip - jawbone.com/hel…lip

And I broke my first clip on Sunday tidying the garage up when I caught it on something and Jawbone sent me another out on Monday which I got yesterday, also FOC. :-)

Also, the battery on them seems to last well, I get about 7 days from a charge now.
The second gen one can be had on Amazon for 41 quid.
How do you tell 1st or 2nd gen?
Do any of these two version have a pedometer & heart rate monitor?

the Jawbone devices don't seem to be particularly resilient and have a tendency to keel over after not very long. Jawbone to their credit are excellent at sorting replacements, but worth bearing in mind especially if you tend to knock devices about a bit.
Is the reliability any better on these than the previous model?
I've had an Up24 for less than a year and I'm on my third, and it's not been misused at all.
I got the UP3 and returned it, couldn't justify it when my mobile phone does it all.

Yeah they are good, I broke mine after about 6 months (crushed it whilst asleep) to their credit they replaced it no questions asked. For £40 or so its a great activity tracker and I would recommend one. Personally with the additional clip mine very very rarely work's itself loose.
had the later UP2 rope ...

loop connection broke and I managed to repair it - broke again one month later - poor quality

and the app works well for a while .... but towards the end of the band's life the sync was so slow it was pointless - would take over 30 minutes to sync data ...... very poor !

good one
I had the original up, after 6 weeks the battery wouldn't charge. Was sent a replacement and the same thing happened to that within 6 weeks.
