Don't bother
Didn't even know this was out at the cinema yet! I assume it's awful...
Its a poor shadow of the original film. Watch the original instead.
It's truly awful, unless the remaining half of the film makes it any better I didn't make it that far.
Thus was pretty crap compared to the others
Watched it for less on CHILI I think. Was terrible but made me laugh regardless. It is what it is.

The best part was probably Affleck's cameo, other than that it's all embarrassing

I've seen a lot of crap in my time, and I love Jay and Silent Bob - but this was cringe worthy at best
Yep. Utterly awful.
I was in no hurry to watch this but after all these awful comments I'm intrigued. How backwards is that?!
When it's trying to make serious points about fatherhood, family etc it's actually quite a touching film but then you have scenes which are pretty much exactly the same as Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back which were funny first time around but not working in this film.

Overall id say its worth £1.99 to watch it once but I can't see many people watching it over and over again.
Love Jay & Silent Bob and Kevin Smith but this was NOT good, even after a smoke it didn't get any better.
I know it's going to be terrible but I'll watch it anyway, cheers op. Bung!
affleck you were bomb in phamtoms yo, and in this,
rest of movie is so so, bits fall aprt some are good.
This was disappointing to say the least. I am fine with a film being made for the fans but this came across as being made for the crew. I like Smith and follow him on YouTube etc. This is one to avoid unless you are stoned but absolutely love the guy.
Thought they were good in Dogma as supporting actors.

Great film, well worth watching.
If you love the original, please don't waste your time with this, utter garbage
Have to agree with some here, it's awful. A vanity project with horrible alleged comedy. I get why he did it, but he should have just had a party with his mates instead. And I like his previous stuff, Dogma and Chasing Amy are great.

Same! Loved the first over, but although I waited so long too watch this, I turned it off just before half way. Absolutely awful film

That's what I was hoping, but no. It's not even a "good" kind if terrible. It's just overall so difficult to watch.
Only one saving grace is that his daughter might have a future as an actress, if she picks the right roles. If she takes roles suggested by her father then I fear it'll all go wrong. I liked her in this awful film, even though her character is poor. Has to count for something.
I enjoyed it. You've just got to go into it with your expectations reasonably set. This isn't Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, this is JASB twenty years on, after Jay has largely frazzled himself on smack, Bob has had a near-fatal heart attack, and after all the cast of idiots and friends involved in the film have had their day, and begun to pass over to the next generation. It's a stupid film with some genuine, earnest moments. I'd definitely recommend it to fans of the universe, just with the caveat that no-one should go into it expecting new-found greatness.
