If you mean one with a "headphone in", this one has that (standard 3.5mm headphone plug). Sound is good, especially for this price.

They used to give 10% of the difference (which would have made it £45).

Your right though - it looks as if the policy has changed to a straight price match !! currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

I'll stick to my JL order :-)

believe so - they went OOS as well b4 i had a chance to purchase - they were direct from JBL outlet

Battery life is crap, mine only lasts around 3 hours.

The JBL Charge has better battery life but quite a bit more expensive. Currently available at the JBL outlet in a range of bizarre colours for £79.99 uk.jbl.com/jbl…tml

Bought for £39.99 from John Lewis itself before. Good sound for the size

Great sound, battery not so great. A problem is it doesn't automatically switch off after a certain amount of time so if you forget to, it'll just drain itself.

Addicted to Bluetooth speakers...the Bose soundlink mini is by far the best sounding one (and I'm a Sony man)

Ordered!! :0)....taking back my soundfreaq sound kick to hmv tomorrow......soundkick is very good, but not loud enough.....

Wow ....grown-up Sony fan boy .

Currys & PC World don't price match with the additional 10% anymore (I just phoned them to verify this), so it's just the same price from them.

I have one of these. Amazed at the sound quality for the price.

Purchased one in JL for £39.99 and I love it! OK, battery life is poor but I can live with that for the lovely sound.

funny this because I've just bought one from John Lewis today because I'm still waiting on my Bose from PRC direct. the new stock is shipping tomorrow if anyone is wondering.

awesome speaker...if you don't have one get it now, £50 is a steal, its a £200 speaker all day long.

I have this speaker (£39 from John Lewis a little while ago) and I have to disagree - battery life v poor and more Importantly sound quality disappointing. Build quality good though.

I posted a £39 refurb deal but this has been as low as £39.99 at John Lewis and Currys a few months ago.

To the person who said the Bose Soundlink mini is better, well it is and it should be, it's nearly 5 times the price!

No, a headphone out..

Why headphone out . You should plug your headphone directly into whatever sound source is going to feed this speaker .

If You are trying to connect 2 or more speakers together in single headphone hole then get a headphone splitting wire .

I only have the Bose Soundlink to compare with and I have to say the sound, battery life and build quality of the JBL is every bit as good, in my opinion. Hence worth every penny....get one and decide for yourself, JL will always give you your money back if you don't like.

good find, is this the flip one or two version?

One by the look of it

Got one of these when £37.99 at John Lewis and I'm really impressed with it. I was not disappointed with battery life like others though, I find 3 hours fine, it doesn't take long to recharge and can be used whilst plugged in to the wall with supplied cable. Suits my kitchen/garden needs perfectly and would buy again! Heat from me, as price fluctuates at JL, I went to buy one last week as a gift and was back up to £99.

Looks simple enough and reviews well. JL don't put anything about the speaker power - I presume therefore it's pretty low?

I cant remember, i've had it for about a year now. Loud enough for some tunes in my bathroom and garden.

RECOMMENDED

I got one a little while ago when it was at a similar price at Curry's. Great sound... big and relatively full-bodied (given its size...... ). I use it in the classroom, teamed up with my laptop.

Note: battery life is around 4 hours. Nearest competition with a good sound (and a 10+ hour battery life) would be the Cambridge Audio Minx Go).

I had both Bose Soundlink Mini and JBL Flip.

I like the sound of JBL Flip more. Bose Soundlink Mini has too much bass.

Also my Bose Soundlink Mini had bluetooth connection issue. And it took me twice to queuing up at John Lewis technical department to return it.

I never thought that get a refund for faulty electronic goods at John Lewis is so difficult.

By the way, I got the JBL Flip in March 2014 from John Lewis, paid £39.
