Decent spec for the price. Good for DIYers. Probably not professionals who's going to be using it everyday

Specifications and quality components are very different things.

Never said they were the same. I agree that not everything that looks good on paper is good in practice. I haven't personally used any JCB drills or impacters. I've used one of their chop saws which was good
Used a JCB combi drill for the last 7 years whilst completely refurbishing a house and for multiple other house and garden projects. Only reason I am looking for a new one is because the battery doesn't hold much of a charge any longer. Would definitely buy a JCB drill again but am tempted by a drill with a battery that I can use in multiple tools.

I've posted a deal for a Worx drill that is part of a multi tool system. Einhell/Ozito also have a "power X change" range of tools too that are reasonably priced

Look at other JCB tools at Toolstop. They have all general tools on battery.
How would these compare to the Stanley Fatmac pair for £100 at B&Q?

Can you link me to the ones you mean?

TBH there doesn't look like there's much in it.

The JCBs have metal chucks, brushless motors, and bigger batteries.

The Stanleys are cheaper and you can claim an additional free battery giving you 3 in total.

Neither list all their drilling specs so can't really compare there
Thanks Anders not a bad price with the extra battery had half expected them to be the same tools but rebranded given the price point

No worries. There are a few around this price that are rebrands like Einhell and Ozito. They are the same and their "power X change" range of tools are interchangeable. I bought a bare Ozito Combi drill because it was cheaper than the Einhell equivalent, but I bought 2 Einhell batteries for it as they were cheaper than the Ozito ones

I have this for like 2 weeks, good dril, powerful impakt. And the price is just perfect. Unfortunately Toolstop will discontinue JCB .

How do you know they're not going to stock them much longer?
I have some info from the kitchen. And I have an account on their wholesale website. Just they said that sales are not as expected and very soon all JCB will end up on their clearance page.

"The kitchen" and I'll be looking out for those clearance deals then. Should be bargains if they go cheaper than this
