Considering the way they treat the people who work for them, it has to be freezing from anyone with any kind of conscience about how British workers are treated.

Nah you're alright. I think there's Taiwanese child labour that you should get yourself so worked up over. JD Sports warehouse workers not allowed to use their mobile phones at work ain't a war crime

I'm surprised you had to dig this well written uparticle and it wasn't front page news!

You did not even watch it(evident from posting a reply in less time the the editorial runs for), so you have no valid comments to make . You just carry on though talking to yourself bye bye now

Please watch this before buying anything from this company channel4.com/new…ion and at least make an informed decision

Only one thing the working can do in that situation, is go on strike. Everyone else seems to be doing it

thats royalty for you, king of trainers n everythin..

I am a Union steward, and those policies look entirely reasonable to me. Workers shouldn't have the distraction of their smartphones in dangerous environments. The sale looks good. Voted hot.

I don't think the workers are unfairly treated compared to what goes on in the world. What clothing company would want the workers having chewing gum round their clothes for, knowing people often spit it out? The phones could be banned because they might have unreleased shoes or clothing. No food or drink in the warehouse, that makes sense too. Also didn't mention if you can leave food, drink and mobile in a locker before you enter the warehouse. Not much of an undercover programme. Just because it was done by the media on a brainwashing machine doesn't mean it's 100% accurate.

This is hard labour in my eyes from company's who operate in the U.K.
Heat added for the sale OP.

Are you saying only British workers should be treated well? I don't get why it matters if they are British or not. Why did you even mention British? Shouldn't we be concerned for everyone's work treatment whether they are British or not. Or is it ok to treat other people unfairly?

I mentioned British workers because they are British workers, and the whole report is regarding British workers and the laws and rights that apply to them! And I am proud to support British workers.

that comment is why the country is in the state it is..get a life.

Its not as if the poor treatment of their staff equates to cheaper consumer prices!

The savings go into the organisations pockets.

JD is a rip off. But the 'youth' find it cool to pay over the odds for something that looks vile!!

Yeah cause there's no other jobs out there is there? If they workers were treated that badly they would either leave or strike there's nothing keeping them there except their own choices.
