That's a brilliant misunderstanding of what the point of this post is. Clearly no one is going to go through the whole Poundland store - the point is what they are selling us very very good value. I really can't see the point of your kind of response.

How do you know they are jelly belly? Is it printed on them I can’t tell in the picture? If so that’s great! Heat added

Some of them had the logo but not all
The ones I've had didn't seem to be jelly belly's they're too big and the flavours didn't seem to be right for Jelly Belly.
They might be jelly bean factory rejects.
Either way they're good value for money if you like Jelly Beans.

This site is for sales, offers and bargains. Not advertising the obvious. £1 items in Poundland do not fall into the category of a HUKD. The entire Poundland ethos is to try to sell everyday items at a discounted price of £1.
So hot UK deals isn't the place for items being sold at a much lower price then they are worth ? Go think genius !!

So what if it was Home Bargains selling this for a pound. Would you consider it a hot deal then?
These aren’t Jelly Belly, these are Jelly Bean Factory.

Firstly, I’m not sure if it’s a bargain since I don’t buy bags of coloured sugar. Secondly, it would depend on what it was originally sold for. My point is, you can’t list things from Poundland as a deal when it’s the price they sell all, or at least most, of their items for. Otherwise, you may as well list the batteries, books, shampoo, toys and any other item. This item is not a deal, offer or sale item. It’s a quid in a shop that sells stuff for a quid.

I see your point completely but do think that 500g of Jelly Beans for £1 is probably better than you’d find anywhere else and if it was £1 in any other shop it would be a very good deal. Plus, I love coloured sugar. So my vote is hot.

Ok so let's extrapolate your argument a little further. If Poundland sold a high value item such as a TV worth £150 for £1 would it be a deal worthy of hot UK deals ? You appear to be saying that is not a deal that should be posted ?

500g of jelly beans costs at minimum about a fiver. If Amazon was flogging a fivers worth of stuff that you wanted for a quid, would you be saying it's not a good deal?

Of course you wouldn't. You'd be saying, "Gosh! A fivers worth of stuff that I want for only a quid!"

The retailer is irrelevant. If you're getting a fivers worth of stuff for a quid, that's 80% off and is a bargain whoever is flogging it.

As a shameless consumer of sweets, including jelly beans, I know very well that's it's quite unusual to get this quantity of jelly beans for a quid, even from poundland.

I’m simply asking, if an item isn’t a deal, offer, reduction and is sold at the price it’s just regularly sold at, if it’s an item for HUKD? My point, to reiterate, was that Poundland sell stuff for £1, it’s what they do, so this isn’t a deal. There’s no reduction in price, no two for one, no percentage off. It’s just an item being sold at its regular price.
Gazbert29/10/2019 13:06

That’s because there’d have been a reduction. There isn’t in this case. It’s a bag of sweets for a quid, that’s always a quid, in a shop that’s mainly known for selling everything for a quid. These have never been a fiver in Poundland, so there’s no reduction or deal.

Rather than only considering an in-store discount to be worthy of being labelled a bargain, we also we need to consider a comparison with other retailers to see if this is indeed a bargain.

When we do that we discover that this is approximately 80% off, making it a bargain.
Sad isn't it..it's a deal end of,we all know these sweets cost much more in any other shop..it's a good deal for £1.00 in poundland.Heat although I don't like them but for the deal.

Not really. It’s not a comparison site. Also, back to my original point, by that rationale, you’d be listing most of Poundland’s other products too.

HotUKDeals is not a comparison site. It's for good deals. Any good deals. Including deals which don't meet your oddly limited criteria.

As to your rationale, if I found some other item in Poundland, that was 80% cheaper than anywhere else that I could find it, then of course I'd be listing that.

If I found an item in Poundland that was roughly a quid everywhere else, I would not be listing that.

But I think we established this volume of jelly beans is not usually sold for £1. I note your failure to address my point re the TV.

So, all items in Poundland, that are sold for £1, must be listed on this site but cross referenced with every other retailer? Why not just post a picture of Poundland with the heading £1 items for sale? Alternatively, a bag of coloured sugar with no nutritional benefit to anyone, sold at a price it’s always sold at, is simply not a good deal.

You want me to respond to a ridiculous point? Yes, it’d be a great deal, however, it’ll never happen. Not a failure on my part, just a deliberate omission of futile example. If you have knowledge of £1 televisions, please post it on this site, that’s what it’s for............

Easy on the straw man there. 500g bags of jelly beans are not normally sold anywhere for £1. This is not the price they normally sell at. Usually you'd only get about 100g of jelly beans for your quid at poundland.

As for nutrition, this is a deals site, not weighwatchers.co.uk
Arguing about the price per 100g of sweets is making a refreshing change from arguing about brexit. So thanks for that.

Why? Because you and Gaz have similar needs for sweets? No deal is the only answer..........anyway, you’d both better rush to Poundland for your jellies, they’ll go back up to £1 when the offer ends.

At last you got one observation correct!
The truth of the whole thing is this - there are 500g of (supposedly) Jelly Belly beans, the brand makes a big difference.
The deal is NOT for a reduction in Poundland on a product they sold, ie, was 99p now 88p, the deal is for the cheapest place to buy 500g of said beans, which happens to be Poundland.

Of course I do see your point, but it's not quite that clear cut.
Also if they are not all Jelly Belly and are say 80% cheapo ones, then ok it's probably a fair deal rather than a scorching one.
(I can't see a single one with jelly belly on)

However, they aren’t Jelly Belly. Also, unless my app is acting up, the deal looks freezing.

You ain't half doubling down on your pointless argument. It's going hot because it is a great deal for people who like Jelly beans.

Sometimes it is better to either admit you are wrong or walk away before antagonising people for absolutely no reason

If you’re speaking to me, you need to press Quote first. My app must be faulty as it looks like it’s -262 to me, which I’d consider freezing. I’m not wrong if the deal is that cold. People are allowed to disagree with others, it’s a free country. If I’m antagonising you, feel free not to pipe up.
Its 269 now (not -269) so your app might not be worth viewing....also it's pretty obvious without quoting who i was referring to.

But well done for disagreeing and arguing your pointless case over and over.

I'll pipe down now though, i have better things to achieve than argue if Jelly beans for a good price is worthy of being posted on HUKD
