Saw this on the shelf in Basingstoke but it scanned through at £139 then the assistant realised that though the computer reckoned they had two in stock in their actual store they had none of these older frames (256mb internal memmory) and what he was scanning was the newer model (2gig internal memmory). Have checked online and seems to be showing as in stock at a few jessops stores local to me so have reserved and hopefully picking up tomorrow.
Reviews on revoo look ok, its 800x600 pixels, just hope the acrylic doesnt scratch easily.
My first deal so take it easy folks

Yeah I managed to get one, am impressed with the size and quality of the image on this. due to the large screen theres an option to display 4 pics at a time should you wish which I thought was quite a nice feature (though not one I personally would expect to use often)

A couple of negative things are the fact that though it can be wall mounted personally I think that its a bit too thick to look right if you were to wallmount it, but it looks fine sat on a table or shelf. The other thing I would say I dont like is the slide show which whilst having a few differrent transition effects to choos from in terms of timing you can only choose between fast , medium and slow transition speeds between pics, with the slow being around 11-12 seconds. Would have been better if it allowed you to specify the length of time you wanted it to wait before changing pics, I guess this is somthing that may well have been adressed in the new software that comes loaded on the new 2gig model. The remote it comes with is nice and small but has those bubble type buttons that Im not sure are known for their long term reliability but you can control everything from the buttons on the frame itself. One last quibble is pausing the slideshow isnt very intuitive, pressing stop takes you out back into the menu so you have to do something to the pic your seeing like zoom/rotate it and then undo this to pause the picture. Would've been better to have a proper pause button.

For the price I paid (£52 using discount codes and quidco) Im more than happy with it.

Where abouts would I find this new software?

I dont think you can obtain the new software to update this frame its just the newer model that costs £139 not only has 2gig inbuilt memmory but the inuuilt software also includes some additional picture editing features not found on this older frame or so I was led to believe by the sales assistant.
