Fantastic camera, I paid full price for this 18 months ago and it was worth every penny!

£399 after cashback is a bargain!

The Sony RX100 VA features a 20.1 MP 1.0-type stacked CMOS image sensor and a ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar® T* lens to give superb quality images. The updated BIONZ X image processing engine achieves higher speed processing performance than it's predecessor, the RX100 V.

Sigh... well it has a few advantages.

1) It's actually an available price, not an 18 month old price glitch that some folk managed to nab early on (myself included) but also resulted in a bunch of order cancellations which I believe led to you yourself writing to trading standards and your local MP... Just saying, perhaps we should stop bringing it up on every thread about this camera?

2) Both cameras have a 20.1 megapixel sensor.

3) RX100 VA advantages include - 5 years more recent, more advanced stacked CMOS sensor, lower ISO capability, phase detect auto-focus with 315 focus points, anti distortion shutter, higher quality view finder, more than twice the number of frames per second, roughly 5x larger buffer size, 4k video recording and slow motion recording.

Not true you need to read up about sensor technology and lens quality. Best to stick to your phones as you seem happy with them and leave photographers to use cameras.

Nice camera. The last one in the series with the fast lens (so far anyway), and the benefit of the v6 processor in this upgraded v5 as well. I'd say the best pocket point-and-shoot camera on the market for photography. Not sure on the going price of these, but £399 sounds like a bargain to me.

Great price, was looking at these about 2 months ago for a holiday to Disney and they were all circa. £700 with the VI (which I also bought and returned) being about the same price.

I am a hardcore android fan. I must say software can not outperform hardware. Software can just try and mimic what hardware can do. Phones will never be better than camera.

Still in awe of the PQ of my RX100 IV. For me the only downer is the mad Sony software - so many options splattered around, it's hard to use all its capability.
That is a brilliant price. I paid around £600 for mine in December last year. It’s a fab camera
If you're in Heathrow, try Dixon's travel. £659 with double difference price match, so £340 in the end. Not sure if Dixons Travel is cashback eligible but worth a go even if not.

Doyou know if I can buy the camera in advance with the discount and collect it on the day I fly?

You can reserve it and then ask for the price match at the store if Jessops still have the deal on. No stock in T5 sadly and didn't have enough time to wait for it to come from another terminal today.
Anyone knows how to get the cashback?
Anyone get there order fullfilled ?
Mines been cancelled this morning 😡
I ordered from John Lewis, after they agreed to a price match.
