but it's not over £50 so the true cost of buying this is £42.99 should really be in the original post as £42.99 delivered

remember quidco and use "quidcofive" code for an extra 5% off

After adding in the delivery charge, using Quidcofive, (thanks voucher boy), and looking at the deal again, it is still flaming hot from me, thanks OP.

or u could just pop down the shop and pick it up for free? i got 3 of these just before last xmas when they were reduced down to £50 each, cracking little frames, good hi-res, not a poxy low nasty res.... even though there are just as cheap and even better photo frames kicking around nowadays...these are still very good

many thanks 4 code:thumbsup:

Could you, in theory combine this with a memory card and have a decent sized video payer (for plane/car journeys?)

Just bought one of these. 4% Quidco (which has tracked already), 5% discount voucher & picking it up at the store, making it about £34.80.

BARGAIN & hot deal. thanks, needed one after taking loads of pics in Thailand.

It's been this price for a while. Still, it's hot.

In theory: yes.

In practice: does your car have a plug socket (you might be able to find a cigarette lighter adapter)

on a plane/train do you want to risk the wrath of everyone around you by forcing them to listen to what you're watching. (I don't see 3.5mm jack on the description)

the sound quality is likely to be terrible anyway.

Excellent deal, Its the Wifes birthday this week and ive been looking around for one of these but any frame with the same resoultion as this is £60+.

Order for pick up - thank you!

Just out of interest did quidco track at the full price (4% of £39 = £1.56) or the discounted price (4% of £37.05 = £1.48). 8p makes all the difference to me. ;-)

It tracked for me at £1.28.

I bought few of these last time for xmas (for just under £50). just ordered another one.

Classy item

Head and shoulders above most of the frames posted on here due to a decent resolution, heat added.

Every little helps!!
I presumed 4% of £37.05 & did my calc's on that, but reviewing it, Mine was also at £1.28, so I'm guessing the difference is VAT ( (£37.05 x (115/100)) = £32.21 & 4% of that is about £1.28 ) & so presumably, there must be something saying they don't pay earnings on the VAT. (Perhaps I should have read it first!)

can I have some of your time please? :-D

Heat/Rep given!

Can't see from the features list whether it has a slideshow feature or a sensor to change between portrait/landscape.

Probably asking a bit much for this price! :whistling:

Might order a couple for xmas pressies...

Thanks.

Cheekster.

Hi,

I bought one today online, and collected it an hour later from my local store. I received a notification about 10 minutes after placing the order that the order was ready for collection! Good service Jessops!

This is a very good item, outstanding screen quality. Unlike what was said on some reviews, it is possible to change the delay on slideshow. It is possible also to play music during the slideshow (by saving an MP3 file), and also play avi videos.

There is no sensor to change between portrait/landscape.

The remote works fine, and the menus are fairly intuitive.

The built-in 256MB of memory is enough to store hundreds of pictures, and transfer is done by plugging the frame to a computer via USB 2 (very fast). I have resized them with Picasa in 800x600 first, to save on space.

I haven't found any other 8" frame with 800x600 resolution and remote near that price.

Seb

I got one b4 Christmas after reading of a deal on here.

It truly is a great frame, you will not be disappointed I was really impressed.

Nice find,heat added!

Oh flip! Quidco has not tracked this as immediately as the others on here. :?

Did anyone quidco for pickup at store and did it track immediately?

This is only my 3rd go with Quidco.

This frame has a lovely picture and great features but there are some really annoying and missing features, which I posted during the last time it was on offer...

Things like having a clock & calender but not being able to set an automatic time for frame to come on / turn off.
Maximum 11 secs between pictures. This is ok initially, but you soon find yourself wanting a much longer pause between photos and it becomes distracting!
The only way to freeze a picture leaves a distracting pause symbol on the screen!
When sleeping, sometimes a press of the telly remote or switching lights on will wake it up!
Oh and it is too easy to lose your CF card inside the casing so be careful when inserting.
Oh seems minor this but if you want photos chronologically generally no probs, until you want to add a new photo to the slideshow. Now you have to FORMAT CF card then copy all pics (inc new pic) back onto card otherwise the photo frame will put new picture at the very end, no matter what you call it!

I don't know, unless they have changed the firmware (could someone check for me please?) then it is great hardware let down only by a disappointing and sometimes frustrating operating system.

Ah today its tracked.

Ordered 2 yesterday and delivered this morning, quick delivery.

Must say nice high res display for the price. As said let down by the software, V.0505_6DR_WA_CM08 probably still the same version.

I'm an accountant.....
Sad I know, but the difference just seemed to be about right, so I did the calculationto double check.

Still a very good deal even ignoring quidco imho

Yep, it did for me.
You could always raise a query if it hasn't tracked in a few days

Just set this up & its a great frame. Very happy

Well satisfied with the quality. Think it's worth the money paid

I dont believe it was going to order one today and they have put the price back up !! Bad times

Oh Hell my stuff is one unholy mess so not tried mine yet but have noticed a discrepancy.

The User Guide says on the topic of videos it will play avi's. No mpeg 1 / 2 / 4 as said on the box.

Also (and i could need help here) the AR is 4:3. If I was putting a 16:9 film on this how would I do it (got virtual dub and virtual dud mpeg2 and DVD Video Wizard (Womble Soft) ). If anyone has that soft and a better idea than me just give me a brief pointer.

Please!
