You sure about the good prices? I've been toying with the idea of buying a Sigma 18-200mm OS lens. It's seems to be £300 everywhere. Just looked at Jessops, and they're knocking a massive £100 of their price ... down to £300 :roll: I suppose I could buy a pack of batteries or similar, to qualify for the £25 off £300 spend ...

haha, thats the exact lens i got off ebay last week (for a bit under £300) - i looked at it, and then compared to bristol cameras who are normally pretty cheap - its £50 less at jessops

Good price on the Nikon D300 body, though - less than a month ago, Jessops were selling this for £1299 but it's now £1099 in the sale! That's definately a hot price!

I think the best price at … I think the best price at these.http://www.jessops.com/Store/s18289/0/Extension-Tubes/Jessops/Auto-Extension-Tubes-For-Canon-AF/details.aspx?&IsSearch=y&pageindex=1&comp=n

Don't forget to use the code JESODHSC25 and get a further 25% off those tubes

Brings the price down to £22.49! But as this is rarely kept in the store, I would recommend reserving it online and collecting at the store. Its about the only service Jessops do very well.

Good point madferret, but do you know if these are the ones which you are able to retain the autofocus with? Says 'Auto' for Canon 'AF' but I cannot see any electrical contacts so I doubt it. Good price though for pick-up.

It does say Canon AF on the box and you're right about the contacts (or lack of). Personally with macro work you would want to switch to manual focus, but I know a few macro photographers who swear by these, and thats when they are at full price! I can see this selling out at this price. :santa:

Forget what I just wrote above.

Just opened the box in front of me and inside is a little slip of paper which says the following;

"Automative focus is available, when auto extension tube are used individually. A combination of three auto extension tubes recommends for manual focus."

I guess that answers that question.

Nope it seems that Bristol cameras is £50 more expensive than most other places I usually look at, eg: Microglobe and Cameras2U.
However, I guess it's good for pick-ups.

]cameras2u.com is my favorite camera shop at the moment. Free citylink delivery and excellent service if you need to return something. I got a Sony t70 for £161.90 a few weeks ago.

cameras2u are part of the jessops group, as is somewhere else (but I can't remember where)

Bought my 18-200mm OS today. Did what I suggested above - added pack of batteries (99p), and used the £25 off voucher. And with £10.40 quidco, the lens cames to about £265. That is pretty close to ebay import prices (~£250), so I'm pretty happy.

(Heat added).
