Basically a Microsoft Surface copy, but uses REMIX based on Android. Made by Foxconn who make ipads/iphones and kindles. Its a surface for the price of a Chromebook. Looking through a couple of forums, there are glitches but on the whole well liked. Surface tablet is obviously better but you have to pay twice as much, another option i guess.

Thats why i put Remix based on Android in the first line. If you look at pictures you will see the similarity..

A Surface clone that runs a forked version of Android.

Sounds like a winner oO

Ouch
Hotter than a British summer day
Heat from me. If you look at it, it is a surface clone running Android.

Really nice specs. Tegra 4 CPU, 2gb ram, full hd. Win win

I don't think a blatant design rip off like this is to be applauded.
Plus, Android apps are utterly ill suited to 11.6" screens.
Whichever way you slice it, this is mutton dressed as lamb

Looks pretty nice; it has a Surface type kickstand and keyboard cover … Looks pretty nice; it has a Surface type kickstand and keyboard cover included, magnetic charging and FHD screen. The processor is a little faster than the Surface 2. And only £156? Downsides are it's micro-USB port only and has limited 64GB storage, but it would make a lighter alternative to a Surface tablet.Jide Remix Ultrabook video review

You mean a cheaper alternative. It isn't lighter. (Surface Pro 4 is 1,058g including stand. This is 1,120g)

The spec on gearbest website implies it comes with Windows OS as well. Oh how the far east like to exaggerate specs. The price would seem quite expensive for an unknown brand when compared to something that can be bought online or in the shops here and is easily returned if faulty. A bit cool from me and really Gearbest would be best having someone who has a better command of the English language for the UK market.

You can open apps in full screen mode or standard phone size, perhaps you ought to read a review on Remix first before passing comment. If you have the money to buy a Surface then fine, but for this money its a good choice for some if you are aware of the specs and operating system. Have a watch of video posted by Nicol. I don't think there is too much to complain about for the money.

Foxconn are not an unknown brand, but yes for some reason they have cut and pasted description which is clearly wrong. It is only android Remix, designed by some ex Google employees I believe.

True and Nvidia also very well known but what worries me about these far eastern devices with little known brands can say whatever they like about the spec. The chinese even make clones of clones so who knows what is real and what is not. If it works great but if they really want to take on the big boys and be competitive over here they need a UK outlet and back up. For me £150.00 would be a lot to pay from this source when my 10.1" Lenovo tab with similar screen resolution, £40.00 cheaper comes with a fully backed UK and European warranty and if something goes wrong I will either get a repair, exchange or refund. Saying that it would be interesting to try one of these. I have a few Lenovo products, also chinese and been very impressed so far.

I don't see any problem with the spec, I've no doubt they will provide what is advertised. The biggy is the warranty to my mind.
The elements that define a Surface are full Windows and pressure sensitivity, and this has neither. It looks superficially like a surface, but it doesn't even have USB 3.0.
It looks like i shouldn't have mentioned the word 'Surface' even though it looks like one... Many Chromebooks are made to look like a Macbook Air but I think most people manage to see a difference.

The MacBook Air design is just a logic evolution of a laptop that is built to be as light and thin as possible, and made of metal. There is nothing really that remarkable or innovative about its design.

The Surface on the other hand is completely unique - which is why these clones get so much flak.

Mmm, yeah now what stuff do Foxconn make again?
Oh yes, basically every Apple device except the Mac Pro!
They also make stuff for many other brands, e.g. HP PCs.
If anyone wants too, you can download Remix OS and run it on a PC. It is Android that has been deliberately made to look similar to Windows 10

Yes but is it genuine Foxconn or a clone. The copy capital of the world are very good at reproducing just about anything. You would have to take one apart and check. As good a spec it maybe I for one would rather put my money towards something else.
Interesting, watched the TechTablets' review, wasn't aware of this one
It's not perfect but for £150 think it offers a lot. By all accounts it's def made by Foxconn, says it in a few articles.
Interested in this does anyone have experience with GearBest and this product

Review here. As for Gearbest, bit of a mix, some people no problem, others nightmare. If you pay with a credit card should be fine.
