No, this one is designed for compacts. You need the Gorillapod SLR or more likely, the SLR Zoom. My local Asda sold out of the discounted regular and SLR model last year and hasn't had any new stock since. The new SLR models now include a spirit level on the tripod bush attachment.

Definately no - the slr model won't be good enough either. I have an slr model and it's useless for anything but a compact, and even then I think a proper table top tripod would be better.

Even at £7.00 it's still overpriced for what it is - it probaly costs pennies to make in China.

Overpriced? Hardly.

I have the SLR version and use it with the Nikon D40. My 55-200 is probably about its limits but it is incredibly versatile and certainly a must for any keen photographer. I take many architectural shots and being able to safely attach a camera to almost anything safely is something worth many times this price.

what p****d me off when I bought the Gorrilapod SLR zoom for £35 was that you had to then buy a 'ballhead' so you could use it properly for another £25.

Hmm, bought 'similar' design tripod in a 99p store and it is surprisingly good.

Nah, they are superb and worth every penny. They are very, very well made and supportive. They can be bent to all sort of shapes and angles and be attached to all kinds of things, just have a look on Youtube, there's no end of videos on there about them. £7 is nothing for one of these, I have one and paid about £12 a few years ago, worth every penny.

GREAT price.. doubt my local asda one..
