Probably not worth buying on it's own due to postage but good price if already ordering (may also be available instore).

The Joby Gorillapod firmly secures your camera to just about anything, anywhere and everywhere! Unlike traditional tripods, the Gorillapod has flexible, gripping legs which can wrap around almost any surface. The large Gorillapod is ideal for larger cameras, such as digital SLRs, weighing up to 1.75 pounds

I did spot these instore at £16 for the large one & £15 for the small one.

I already have the small one & it's a great design. I thought the large one had a larger screw thread attachment for DSLRs & camcorders but it might just be that it can hold a heavier weight?. Can anyone confirm if a large tripod would be required with something like the Canon HF100 camcorder?

Delivery within 2 days. Standard delivery £4.95

Don't know if I would trust my Nikon D40X sitting on this.

I bought one in John LEWIS for 15 pounds.
It is really cheap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are bigger versions - the zoom one is the safest!

Asda in north Swindon (the wallmart one) has plenty in stock.

BTW, the SLR zoom version is more than adequate for a litte d40x. :-)

I have the original "large" one, it won't take a D40x with flashgun, and definitely feels like it will struggle with a big lens like the one in the photo, which I think is misleading.

This is useful, but only at £6.

in the photo it seems to be attatched to the lens rather than the camera which may provide balance?
looks a good deal

It is, but i think it's a bit misleading cos if you gave that a nudge, it would slowly wilt under the weight.

Nevertheless if you are going to but £1000 of Lens like that pic, you know that only a quality tripod or monopod will give you the best stability for your investment.

I have the gorillopod rolled up in the corner of y bag. It creates lots of interest at weddings, but I haven't used it for a while now and it's getting put to pasture cos it won't take my flash.

Had the small ones in my local Asda Living but they were £14.69 and I couldn't be bothered to try and get them to price match as queue was huge.

would they pricematch their website when the website is out of stock? small was still £15 in my local asda

Not that I would use one but for all those with entry DLSR like the Nikon 40 and your canon 450D's then the large one is great for using on self portraits, timed shots etc

for the big DLSR users, Im sure they actually do a PRO version that can take up to a 300 lens...

I was in ASDA last night and looked at these as I'm after on for my 400D but they were £16, need to try and get them to price match
