"I fell in with another fella. who'd just thrown up a previous paella". Classic

Pity no obvious sign of cheap Patrik Fitzgerald CDs Not quiite the South's answer to JCC, but good nonetheless.

"looking for a fight said they were yellow in majorca"

"the bl00dy pies are bl00dy old
the bl00dy chips are bl00dy cold
the bl00dy beer is bl00dy flat
the bl00dy flats have bl00dy rats
the bl00dy clocks are bl00dy wrong
the bl00dy days are bl00dy long
it bl00dy gets you bl00dy down
evidently chicken town
the bl00dy train is bl00dy late
you bl00dy wait you bl00dy wait
you're bl00dy lost and bl00dy found
stuck in f****** chicken town."

Sheer genius - cant believe Evidently Chicken Town has been left off this album!!!!

'Evidentally Chickentown' is on 'Snap, Crackle and Bop' which in my opinion was John Cooper Clarke's creative peak, and also had a great cover on the original album release.

My friend had a reading of 'I married a monster from outer space' at his wedding.
He was divorced within a year - JCC is powerful stuff.

Saw JCC in Edinburgh on Saturday night. A great gig.

The punk band I used to be in used to cover Beasley Street. But this has now been gentrified and he's got a new poem called Beasley Boulevard.

Cheers
Simon
