i thought betamax would have been using a coaxial connection

OK, as an old fuddy duddy who has been making do with scart leads all this time, what actually is the best way to connect DVD recorder and TV assuming I don't want to fork out for a a whole collection of fancy leads but want to keep it pretty basic ??

Whats the point of this comment? Not everyone has a choice.

AS far as I know FF99, unless you have component or HDMI outputs, RGB scart is the best way to go so stick with it.

My DVD player, playstation and PVR are all connected via RGB scart through a switchbox very similar to this and it does not seem to give any noticeable drop in quality.

(keep this quiet but my TV is still a CRT!)
