Good effort. Heat added!

That MDR1000X deal looks tempting.

Heat for the effort! On the other side i personally dont see any great deals from JL.

what do you think about hp laptop? nice spec for 350 quid

Which hp laptop for £350??

dat effort wow

I did not read carefully :-D

Shame they can't come up with their own Black Friday offers and are instead just price matching other retailers, which they have to do anyway as part of their price match policy.

Credit to the op for the effort of listing all the items but not much stands out and I’d expect a bigger discount!

Any advice on the lenovo idea pad? Need a laptop for a 9 year old for school homework and browsing. Up to the job or a waste of cash? (have spare hard drives lying around.) thanks for the heads up op

Dyson AM09 same price at dyson.co.uk and also available in black.

Cheaper elsewhere @£199 (Curry's, Amazon).

Buy from John Lewis even if it’s more expensive else where and you can price match and make use of the 2 year guarantee that comes with most if not all of their items

I thought amazon is better, you can return within a year if you say it's faulty (electrical items). Why do you think John Lewis is better?

I agree, much prefer Amazon for customer service and no great deals here. Thanks to OP for effort though.

great work op

heat added

Was hoping for better TV deals

Thanks for the effort OP. These are pre Friday offers but I am sure when the main offers go live later that people will still moan because they haven't got enough of a reduction or it is the wrong colour etc

Fully agree - Amazon CS is simply outstanding, you just have to go on chat - tell them the thing doesn't work - even on the last day of the 12th month and they give you a free replacement/refund - no questions asked.

Sony cans marked at £199 for anyone interested.

UE speakers showing as £129-99 though

I agree with some of the comments Amazon are amazing, however I also love JL, they have always been incredible for customer service with my wife and I. They replace without quibble, even at the last minute. They price match and normally you get longer Guarantees with them. I like the fact I can simply walk in store!!

I agree. In fact JL customer service is generally considered rubbish.

Isn't that the site that people usually only leave a rating on when they have had bad experience, and the positive comments are from dubious fake customers?

the extra year guarantee is surely the critical point rather than general customer service skills

The RT5 5.1 Sony sound system is still showing as £409, have i missed it?

On the basis of using Trustpilot then, you'd stay clear of Amazon too

Perhaps they used to have the best customer service op but they dont now. Had a nightmare over a legitamte issue early in the year with them.

Heat for the post though, sure others will benefit.

You need to be careful with returning items to Amazon. I was reading about Amazon terminating people's memberships because they had returned too many times. Looking at the stuff returned it didn't seem too bad.

I'm probably being silly but just to make sure (because I don't want to make a mistake) the john Lewis model is XE800 you mentioned X800E are they the same model? Thanks

I believe its the same model. Checkout the review of the US version:
rtings.com/tv/…00e

If you google for X800E, it will come up with references to KD??XE8004 which is basically the same family as the KD43XE8005

X800E is the US naming convention. XE800 is the UK version. I would dig around a little to make sure if you are uneasy. You could also phone Sony tomorrow to verify.

Ah okay thank you. One final question do you think it's worth the money. Or can I get better for the money at the moment

I'd read the review on the site and make up your mind

Personally I think the 9005 is much better (it also has better reviews on RTINGS but its more expensive:
