John Lewis washing machines are actually built by the Electrolux Group. See below

We have a John Lewis washing machine and it was manufactured by AEG. Came with a 3 year guarantee plus we purchased an additional 2 years for £75.

So a 5 year John Lewis guarantee costing £75. No one else in the market place can offer that sort of rock solid guarantee and no one can match John Lewis's level of customer service.

So in my opinion John Lewis washing machine are well worth the money for trouble free laundry for 5 years.

This has fallen another £30, now it's £299

This machine was 299 a week ago. So cold man

Check out reviews regarding John Lewis delivery, highly doubtful you will get it on the day promised. Not a good service at all.

Its a cross beteween an AEG and a Zanussi.I've had mine for over 5 years now and i cant recommend them enough.

I just bought a John Lewis washer-dryer, it is made by AEG and is excellent, although the operating and installation instructions are a joke. I had no problem with delivery, came exactly when expected. As another poster, I took the additional 2 years guarantee for £75, which is a good deal in my opinion. The wash programme is virtually silent, and it is in the next room. The delay function is also very useful.

Assuming they are the same as the Electrolux other brands, AEG, Zanussi then reliability is at the mid level according to a Which consumer reliability survey. For performance according to Which reviews also mid level but Which reviews are often poorly done so I wouldn't hold that against the brand.

I personally view this deal as a bit cold. You can get a Beko for a lot less with a 5 year warranty and higher spec. There are various models on coop-electrical and they do very competitive extended warranties.

Indeed, they seem to have rapidly gone down hill.
