John Lewis - Never Knowingly Undersold........

.........but if you're unlucky enough to be caught out by an individual customer and you can't fob him off somehow, pay him the price difference but keep very, very quiet about it and don't under any circumstances reduce the price for other customers.

Just a matter of time before the Advertising Standards Authority puts paid to NKU!

The double standards on here never fail to amaze me.
The second a TV deal crops up, everyone screams, quick get JL to price match and get a 5 year warranty. However the second they offer sim free mobiles, that don't crop up here nearly as often they cry foul.
So for all the nay sayers, where can we buy sim free phones, with a 2 year warranty that won't involve arguing about and with free insurance? Don't get me wrong I haven't seen any T&Cs but I bet most who've commented so far haven't either.

Edit: by sim free I mean official sim free, not cramping out a Carphone Warehouse deal or taking up a PAYG deal and unlocking. Yes to the initiated there are ways and means but not everyone can be bothered.

Samsung Note 4: Amazon £439.99 John Lewis £569

Samsung give a 2 year warranty, and the extra £129 is an awful lot to pay for a JL 2 year warranty which Samsung provide anyway. And the free insurance? No mention of it on the JL website.

My gripe, though, is not so much with JL pricing - more to do with the heavily advertise Never Knowingly Undersold policy which doesn't actually exist in practice.

They only price match stores with physical retail outlets, however will accept their possibly different eCom pricing.
Also any time I've tried an obscure price match with a store 500 miles away, they've been fine.

As for the price above, if the free insurance exists. It's not bad for some of the ham fisted people who own expensive phones.

Insulting prices.

They seem to have reduced their prices, certainly they have on the LG G4 brown leather (now £480 from £520). Same price as CPW but £35 more than Amazon.
