Why? in that case why not include it as a fraction, pie chart etc. also if you spend anything other than exactly £50 it is not 10% the title is fine and as clear as it needs to be! If you cannot work it out without it in the title then saying 10% it will just confuse that person anyway!

You have to opt-in with your John Lewis rewards account and you have to use the card when you purchase. In my experience, the reward shows up about 2-3 weeks after your spend.

As per the T&C and the OPs comments, you can't earn the reward if you spend at Waitrose, but you can spend the reward - John Lewis gift vouchers/cards can be spent in Waitrose.
This has only ever worked for me when the offer has been on my app, I've spent a fortune there over the past few months so it would have been great. This thread is still good as a reminder to check though
Damn I thought JL had got into SSD drives for a moment there.

So basically 10% off.

I used the offer previously and never got the gift card. For £5 I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of complaining
I'm getting "Your my John Lewis number was valid but the offer has expired."
I’ve only ever got this once, in fact, since they merged I’ve not received a voucher for beverage and slice of cake either - spent £50 lord knows how many times since! 😩
The supplied my John Lewis number could not be found. Please check you have entered the correct digits and are within the validity dates specified on the voucher.
Thanks for this

Makes things a bit more clear and easy to understand..

Kindest regards
This is definitely not going to be for everyone it’s account specific, was luck enough to have rewards of some kind for around the last six months (have been member few years) nothing showing for this year yet, I do buy from them and visit store regularly so no idea how their algorithms work on rewards
Appears to be expired.

wow- thanks op, both offers on mine, expiring 31st jan. Id have missed them if not for your post. heat added
This offer comes out about once every quarter. Usually in the post in the same envelope as the free tea and cake vouchers.
not always given a the £5 voucher. Sometimes, they give you to you order after order placed for over £50 (one £5 per order), and sometimes not given at all regardless you spend over £50. All orders placed in John Lewis online.
Why is this hot? It's just to make you come back and spend more money. I don't rate these promotions as I always buy something I don't need to only get a fiver off.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s a maximum 10% off, from prices that are usually more than 10% higher than its competitors, and the Never Knowingly Undersold policy is a total sham.

They can be competitive, but only very rarely, and their customer service is appalling. Check out Trustpilot.
Thanks OP, I had forgotten to activate my reward, now done.

Agree re prices though - and customer service is not what it used to be. Times they are a'changing, and not for the better.
I done this offer months ago......I’m still waiting for my £5 voucher 😳😳😳
This is cold, its given to select customer who dont spend,so spend £50 and £5 will be sent in the post at a later date.the discount is not given on point of sale.its a retention deal

Just email customer services and they'll sort it out for you. I did...
Never knew this, have spent quite a bit of money with them. Feel like i have lost a fortune now
BEWARE OF THIS. I activated the voucher before I used it for a £50 spend before Christmas. I never received a e gift card. My fiance also spent £75 before Christmas and made sure to activate it beforehand. He didn't get his either.

I emailed them and it took a week to get a reply and they said they would not be sending any voucher as it was not activated beforehand. I DEFINITELY activated it as I'm particular about these things, but they're claiming I didn't, to get out of sending the e gift card and still getting people to spend £50+. This seems to be happening to many people and I've heard people say they didnt bother contacting them due to the hassle of just a £5 gift card but with the huge amount of people not getting cards, it's a fortunate they're making.
1. Basically a 10% off...
2. ...that makes you spend an extra £5-10 you weren't planning on spending...
3. ...for a £5 gift card that may or may not be sent to you (based on the comments above).

Yet, the deal is almost 1k degree hot.

But if I spend £100 I won't be getting 10% off I will get 5%.
But that's assuming u spend 100£.

I was referring to an exact spend of 50£.

Hope that helps.

Kindest regards
Ahhhhh, spent over £50 just a few days ago.

I've never come across JL as having bad service. I brought all my white goods appliances and bed from JL off the back of their service guarantee. Brought a laptop from them and decided after a couple of weeks it wasn't for me. No hassle refund AFTER I used it as their policy allows for change of mind. Yes they are slightly more expensive but for the aftersales service they provide on bigger purchases I would much rather price match and buy from JL vs competitors Currys, PC world or Tesco (and no, I do not work for JL or know anyone who does!)

Generally all the staff are polite, helpful and knowledgable in their area and they tend not to have a lot of student weekend staff who don't care. It always comes across that they take pride in their jobs and the services they provide customers with as being best available.

This is just my personal experience though, could be your local store.
