Thanks Nanam. I wasn't going to comment until I saw this kind comment from you. Ironically I'm the type of Mum that actually goes too mad at Christmas as we have night before Christmas hampers with lush bath bombs etc and the kids stockings all full of sweets we order from America and loads of other lovely small toys and games and little bits like slime etc. Not sure why people feel the need to make rude comments. This will only put new people off posting!

Yes it puts new users off posting when others are rude but some think it’s funny to post silly remarks. I totally agree with you children love pens, little notebooks slime ( my granddaughter is totally mad on slime much to her mothers disgust) you sound like an great mum bet the kids love Christmas in your house so don’t let unkind comments put you off. Most of the time I dare not post because I don’t know how to add the photos
rachnumber1 Children love to draw and colour. Theydbe a good little stocking filler. No need for the snobby comment

My daughter is 13 and she absolutely loves stationary products so finding these in her stocking would be something she would appreciate finding. Each to their own

I'd have bloody loved that as a kid (and now)
And £2 for a Click and Collect service that other retailers offer for free.
Oh really some ppl are so finicky, Xmas is about having fun most kids or adults don't see a pen as fun where I come from to be upset with what I thought was a hilarious comment is just humbug in my humble opinion and yes at the end of the day that's exactly what it is so go collect your toys and put them straight back in your prams please that's quite enough!!

It was just a rude unnecessary comment. If you don’t think it makes a great stocking filler move on. There was nothing positive to come out of that comment other than mocking me (unless you can show otherwise). Also most kids love highlighters. I wouldn’t be giving them a fountain pen for Christmas but some kids may appreciate that anyway. Each to their own and unproductive comments need to be kept to yourself!!!!

I quite agree it is unnecessary to inform everybody it would make a great stocking filler
Let's just stick to the deals then and keep unproductive comments to yourself or your opinions for that matter is that what your saying? Let's not confuse the issue.

To be fair this was funny. However he (or less likely she) clearly isn't a parent so didn't appreciate how much of a hit these things are for kids/teens.
Not everyone has to spend 500 quid on a new electronic gadget or console for their kids to be happy.
Great post OP. Thanks.

Parent of 3 ... all of whom would look at me like I’d lost the plot if I gave them highlighters for Xmas! They get stationary they need as an everyday essential - not as a Xmas treat!! And it’s she.
