I forgot to mention 2 year guarantee.

I was very tempted until I read the customer views on the Which? site, where most users have bought because of the high rating and then found it failing far short of expectations with a lack of manufacturing quality seeming to be the big issue.

Have you thought about these tmart.com/6-P…A6g
They are shells that allow you to insert an AA battery and use it as if it was a C cell. I've used them for a long time.

yeah they are a great idea but i have actually found a nice hack myself. The battery compartment is two sets of two batteries in series. I simple cut some corrugated card to the length of two A batteries and wrapped until the same diameter as a size C and they have worked fine.

I have had a few days use so far out of my Duracell rechargeables so i guess if i just buy a back up set and always keep one charged i wont have a problem!

thanks for the advice!
