A versatile update on The North Face's classic Hedgehog range, the Fastpack GTX is a lightweight and comfortable shoe ideal for any outing.

Underfoot, the high performance combination of EVA foam and nylon Cradle support offers the durable stability required for long treks in the great outdoors, while providing easy cushioning for everyday wear around the town.

Fully waterproof thanks to a Gore-Tex membrane bootie, the exclusive Vibram sole ensures sturdy grip on any terrain.

I have had a pair before of these and they are great shoes, and at 50% off it's even more of a bargin.

Looking at reviews, seems the durability of these is pretty hopeless. Shame, I'm on the lookout for a decent pair of waterproof hiking shoes.

Had a pair for a few years now, nice shoes and keep you dry but the vibram grip sole is useless, slip everywhere even walking around town

I have a couple of old pairs of the original Hedgehog (one if which is now completely worn out). They've been pretty hardwearing for me (unlike the Salomon's I bought my daughter). However, they're not really hiking shoes, just waterproof trainers. Ideal for cycling and walking in Glasgow but I wouldn't use them up a hill.

Nice find Op, but not in my size Guttediam
Also for a fiver more

Size 10 doesn't appear to work so guessing out of stock. Shame, have an old pair of these and terrific.

I have a couple of pairs of Merrell's with the Vibram sole and i think they are pretty slippy too.....any kind of flat surface and you just feel unsafe. They are durable tho. I might give these North Face ones a try, heat added!

I bought a pair of these to replace my Merrell Moab and regretted it so quickly and so much i continued to wear my busted old Merrells and chucked these in the cupboard. Not worn them since. They feel like poorly fitting cheap Nike trainers rather than quality walking shoes. To call them boots is like calling a Fiat Panda an Italian supercar.

Well since i posted this the available stock has started to go less than 10 per pair on most sixe, it was more than 10 per pair on most sizes before i posted (and i spotted this yesterday). So HUKDers are purchasing these.

I can thoroughly recommend either Asolo Fugutives or Salomon Quest 4d gtx's, I've had both and they are excellent.
I'm speaking as a terrible boot-aholic, got about 20 or so pairs of Danners, Meindl, Hanwags Lowas Bates Matterhorns Yds etc - leather boots kept polished up will always outperform fabric, but a lot of people don't like the weight

I've had two sets of these and no issues whatsoever, certainly didn't feel cheap as you've described. That being said, I bought the second pair around 4-5 years ago and not done as much walking to justify replacing. Perhaps things have changed in terms of quality, but near sure these are the same model. Edit - someone else did make a good point, these were great for general walking, trails and such. I wouldn't use them for tough terrain, and hardcore hikes. They are more towards the trainer feel.

I would add that hukd has cleared all the stock so does any of the above matter ? As the stock wasn't moving till I posted it.

You seem to have an unhealthy obsession with wether people are buying these because of your post!

I don't understand that attitude, who cares wether people buy them, or even agree with your post.
