Yes you must.

Yes or DIY by following an online
guide!

You don't have to at all.

If you already have them then take a photo of wires and refit new one the same.

Just browsed their wall light section, really diverse designs far better than the likes of B and Q, but out of my price range. Above looks good value.

I agree, definitely some nice pieces in the range.

No, John Lewis will come and fit them for free (_;)

2 year guarantee for a light fitting, all it is is wire and a bulb socket, in theory it will be working in a 1000 years time

It will be working in a 1000 years time, that's good news then

Hmm wonder if these would be ok in a bathroom or would they rust?

Ok thank you for your negative comments Also the link to the light on eBay looks terrible and more than double the price. Haha

It's a good price but the John Lewis website doesn't sale its been reduced so I'm assuming this is the normal price. So how is this a deal?

C&C requires a minimum spend of £30. Free delivery requires a £50 spend.

Rather then being told via a sale banner, you could always decide for yourself if it's a deal - this product may be more expensive elsewhere, let alone factoring the extra value some attribute to it being from John Lewis.

The going price at Poundland is usually £1, but when they sell a product that might normally be more expensive, do they have to specify it is in a sale/reduced?

Sorry I disagree, its still not a deal as far as I'm concerned. No one has said its available cheaper elsewhere. Even if its the same price elsewhere and the value added from the retailer being John Lewis does not make it deal either. Following that logic we should all be posting John Lewis deals for TVs that are the same price elsewhere.

does John drink builders tea ?

Its a deal in that its £9 for a wall light. Go to B&Q, Homebase et al and find a wall light for £9.

If it benefits someone who is looking for wall lights and didn't consider John Lewis then this is a deal that warrants space on this site.

Always been this price - great value - have put several up myself

If you don't think it's a deal... that's great! If I was you, I would ignore this thread and don't vote then, haha

Noooo! Anyone with half a brain can do it. 3 wires and 2 holes... Piece of twiddle.

If you fix these yourselves, you would be advised to find out which fuse box switch relates to the lighting circuit you are about to play with and then switch the circuit off at the fuse box.

3 wires, 2 holes, POWER OFF FIRST and CHECK AGAIN that it's OFF by removing fuse maybe !!!???
