strange thing is it wasnt that long ago say 3-4 years ago

was 50p a tin in asda about 4-5 months ago.. stocked up then big time. that is always the benchmark for a hot deal

That is a good price at the moment! Thankyou!

Agreed, it's such a shame that Tuna prices have gone through the roof in recent years. Guess that's the price overfishing has had and also the demand in other parts of the world. I also remember fresh tuna steak around £10 per kilo a few years back it's now over £20.00 per kilo

hi, was in poundstretcher earlier, the tins are slightly smaller than the normal size,

"wajj2004" Yes you're right drained weight 130g princess tuna these tins are 112g drained weight, I thought they were the same size usual stuff smaller containers bigger price seems standard con of most suppliers these days oh well can't win them all!

Princes just has way more oil in them. If you actually look a the nutritional value John West's easy higher in protein.

comparing princes tuna to john west, gotta laugh, just on looks alone you'd pick john west everytime

heat from me

These tins MAY use a resin which contains BPA. John West refused to confirm or deny - which basically confirms.

I have been today, £3.49 for a 4 pack at Pound stretcher warrington

the seem to be charging 3.49 for these = it took me ages to get the price that i paid reduced

Aldi have tins of tuna for about 64p the last time I bought some.185g drained 130g. £2.60 ish for 4 and more tuna.

Also money's purchasing power has been eroded by fiscal stimulus efforts like QE. your pounds buy less than they used to because the currency has in effect been 'diluted'. you can find out more here

whats the tuna like though, had asdas own (used to buy it) and it's gone down the pan and it's not much off a branded tin
