These are tuna steaks too and not just tuna chunks.

A good deal, voted hot.

If you haven't got an Asda - Tesco are doing the same product, but in single tins (130grams) at half price, 74p each, so you would pay £2.22 for three. In sunflower oil or water.

Ermmmm how are they gonna be no drain if they are in oil or water????

What are these like in comparison to normal tins in brine?

So is the amount of tuna in these 130g No Drain tins the same as you would get in an 'old style' 185g tin? Or have JW taken this as a opportunity to reduce the quantity as well?

Avoid. Usually these things start to rot after a week or so because there is no fluid to preserve the fish in.

Noticed single cans today for 74p - same price as Tesco have them on promo!

These are great, had some today.
There is a little brine or oil in each, enough to preserve it but not require draining.
The actual quantity of tuna was positively comparable to the usual stuff. Well, I didn't weigh it or anything but it still filled my 2 sandwiches (4 slices)

So how come the cans we bought yesterday are BBE June 2011?

Honestly, some people . . .

If they are vaccum packed thay are not going to rot. Someone needs to go back to school. The oil/brine isn't needed to preserve anything, just keeps it moist.

... and 130g is the drained weight for most cans of tuna.

Errr, I have a degree in engineering from the University of Berkley, California. I don't need to 'go back to school'.

Learn simple engineering, and then get back to me about rotting tuna.

Just looking through your posting history... Did you do a minor in pointless, un-funny and nobbish forum postings as well?
