Is that yellow fin tuna?

Hate tuna chunks, but heat added..

Meow Hot.

Same here in buckshaw

same price indicated on my supermarket so must be national

Cheap as....fish

....now just need a deal on chips

Sainsburys own tuna is the best in my opinion £4.60 for 4 tins, bought some john west tuna the other day and tastes nowhere near as good as sainsburys ones. Sainsburys one had no dark colour in whereas the johnwest did.

Same in ASDA Trowbridge. Picked up £45 worth yesterday.

Better going to Aldi and getting their bigger Tuna Chunks 185g tins at 62p.

The quality is just the same as John West & Princess.

Is the nutritional profile the same? I'm really looking for excuses to shop exclusively at Aldi! Haha.

Tesco's Tuna Chunks are a big ripoff (86p in my local), must get my self down to asda for a topup.

Its a pity Tuna isn't that good for you, but I love it all the same! Heat!

News to me...the only issue is the mercury content but for it to be an issue you'd need to be eating kilos of the stuff every week!

Has anyone else tried the Aldi brand one? I usually stick with Princes as it tastes the best in my opinion but may give the Aldi one a go. John West doesn't seem to be as good as Princes but still a good price.

Actually, tuna is pretty great for you. High protein, low fat, virtually no carbs... the only worrying aspect you could concern yourself with is the mercury content, which is a problem...

Wasn't in my local in Stevenage.

So would eating a tin a day be considered harmful?

Cause I've been living off the stuff for 5 weeks now at dinner breaks.

Try it in tortilla wraps.

Even when they're completely plain in spring water, a tortilla wrap makes them perfectly edible and it's also a very good and healthy meal.

Thanks OP, never seen it this cheap.

i usually have tuna with half a pack of aldis microwavable rice, a bargain at 49p also!

I bought sandwich tuna last week wasn't cheap but it had bones and entrails in it,do they mean sandwiches for people you hate.?

take the sandwiche back to argos or whatever store you got it from for a refund it shouldn't be like that

John West. Life is peaceful there. John West. Out in the open air.

I use the aldi ones, at 75p a tin for chunks, you can't go wrong. the nutritional value is on par with other leading supermarket and brands. I've been eating 2 tins a day with aldi cottage cheese too :-)

Bought four packs today with a finish date of Dec 2016. All the spring water had gone by 1pm today :-)

Cheers OP

Not keen on tuna chunks myself and tuna steak cans never seem to be on offer anywhere.

Yeah, its better to eat lots of bread and carbs instead.

/sarcasm

Off we go...

I post this every time John West or Princes deals come up, but I'll carry on...

AVOID

John West STILL refuse to move away from purse net fishing, incredibly destructive and wasteful fishing practice. All UK supermarket own brand tuna is line and pole caught now. No need to buy this.
