Not sure if store specific but I used scan and go at the Pudsey owlcotes store. No price on shelf but scanned at £2 so obviously I bought 10 of them!!! Still left plenty for others though. Barcode 5000171057105 and dated Dec 2019.

Tinned stuff lasts for years even past its printed date, might as well stock up at a low price. Look on youtube there are videos of people opening canned stuff from 10, 20, 30 years past its date and still edible

Aww, sorry. I did think it might be store specific or even a glitch with the scan and go x

Only show a ‘use by’ date where there is a safety issue with eating the foo …Only show a ‘use by’ date where there is a safety issue with eating the food after this date. It’s a criminal offence to sell food that’s past its ‘use by’ date.Forgive me if I trust the government over some random person on a deals website.

Cans don’t have ‘use by’ dates they have ‘best before’ dates. Believe what you want your beliefs are irrelevant to me.
Prefer the ones in oil.

Decent price anyway.

Will buy a few packs.

Kindest regards
Just bought some. Absolutely bargain. Keep me going a few weeks. Plenty on shelves.
Got the barcode please?

I think you need to understand the difference between a use by date and a best before date, in simple terms,
Use by date refers to food safety and means the food must be used before said date otherwise it can cause food poisening
Best before date has nothing to do with food safety, it's 100% to do with the quality/taste/appearance of the food. The food will still be perfectly good after this date from a food safety point of view it just may taste a bit funny.
Tinned tuna has a best before date
Absolute bargain price. Love Tuna. Must be a store specific glitch, have never seen 4 cans at this price never mind 6. Good find.
Isn't there a recommended limit of something like 4 cans per week max due to mercury within the fish?

Yes there is but we are a family of 6 and average less than 1 can each a wee
Smells fishy! No pun intended!
Might try making tuna patties, seen plenty of tutorials about it's straight forward.
