John West Tuna Chunks in Brine - 6 x 185g Pack for only £2 at ASDA in store!!!!!!

Found 9th Oct 2011
Not sure if this is store specific but.....

I was told by my friend that ASDA in Tilehurst were doing the 6 pack of John West Tuna in Brine for a ridiculously low £2!!!! I obviously couldn't believe it so drove down from Twyford and managed to get 2 lots of 6 x 185g tins! They had restrictions on how many you could buy which is understandable or else someone would have bought the whole lot.

Expiry date - 2014

Im well happy to have got these as the 3 x 185g are priced at £4.38!!!

Hardly, there are so many bogus deals on here of late, why should I waste my time and petrol if its a "made up sunday night no way of proving until Monday deal"

I do have a camera but no way of uploading onto my computer, i will have a receipt picture hopefully by tomorrow or tuesday latest!
When i say i have a camera thats referring to a camera on my crap Samsung Tocco Lite!
£2 is the price these should be!
Mate are you serious? If ever you can get 6 x 185g of John West Tuna in brine at any time in store I will salute you!!
Like so many Asda offers like this these will be left overs from when they were selling in the summer. They will be having a clearout in the warehouse to make room for the christmas stock. It won't be nationwide they stopped selling the six packs months ago.
I assume its store specific then, worthwhile going to your local ASDA to see if they are doing a similar clearout!
£3.00 in Southgate store
Thats the Princes 4 x 185g, this is John West 6 x 185g pack!!
I presume this isn't pole caught Tuna !?
Never this price in our asda in Swindon , 4 for £3 today
John West? Didn't they get done for contaminated tins?
im sure they normaly sell them for about £5 for 6 when they have the 6 pack in....?

Correct! It's Taiwanese caught tuna.
Tins of tuna are great for putting in your kitchen cupboard and then keeping them their unused for a minimum 5 years, before eventually throwing them in the bin. Then you buy another tin and start all over again! oO
Good spot, I'll check out my local. Fingers crossed.

I got it for £3 at my local Asda.
Another Asda red herring?

Disgraceful. How dare someone trust another person without proof or evidence. Should be put in the stocks and given a severe lashing! Off with their heads I say!
The 3 packs are £2 in my local

Not when you go through 4/5 tins a week :]
4/5 tins a week jogon! In that case buy the tuna in water, rather than the salty tuna in brine! Better for ye .
they taste disgusting that's why they're so cheap. Only good one to get is sunflower oil
