A great price for a decent tuna, smart price one is 55p a can and not so good, this is 50p a can mmmm

johnwest is the best... hot hot hot....

hmm... never had jw tuna..i like the tuna in sunflower oil, as opposed to brine..
does it come in sf oil?

My local asda had 2x tuna in brine for £1 and 3x tuna in sunflower oil for £1- usual size tins , on sunday.

i only saw this one which was in brine x

Something fishy about this deal.....H+R added. Tanks for finding this deal, hope they haven't sole' d out. Off to get some right now from that supermarket plaice round the corner.

Sainsbury's basics is 45p per can and tastes exactly the same as all other tuna is have tasted, including JW stuff.
I only buy sustainably fished and pole/line caught fish these days and the Sainsburys basics have all the same credentials as the Sainsburys "elite" which they are flogging at £3.05 for 4 cans.
I don't think JW claim the same ethical sourcing do they? So, the moral of the story is If you shop ethically, OR by price, then sainsburys basics wins either way!
PS - before the haters come out to play - NO, i don't work for them; just trying to make people aware.

Peace.

I have never tried the sainsburys basic stuff, but i couldnt imagine it would be like john west??Not saying it isnt. I understand what you are saying about the sustainable aspect of it, but for family's on a budget or has to feed a lot 6 for £3 is better than 4 for £3.05.
P.s lol not a hater xx

Glad you aren't a hater mate!! I think you might have missed my point a little though. I'm saying that the basics tuna is just as ethical as the "elite" stuff that they are charging a lot more for! A family on a budget would be better of getting 6 tins of the basics for £2.70, safe in the knowledge that the seas aren't being ravaged by the JW boats!!

just been to my local asda in radcliffe manchester and they dont have this offer on

the offer in there is 3x£3 or 2 packs (6tins) for £5

Does the Dolphin in this make you brainier?
