Great price... some of the other supermarkets have it on offer and this offer is still at least £6 cheaper than any of the other supermarkets.

Is it cheaper elsewhere? £24 in Sainsbury's & Waitrose, and £25 in Asda currently.

nice find op, heat added

Good price. The Red is down to £15 too.

Very surprised this isn't hotter. Much nicer than the red and not normally on offer and certainly not at this price.

Jesse Stone book fans might agree but then the movie ones will align with the red - whole another debate.
In any case, I agree. It deserves much more attention. No doubt more people are hooked by J.D. and look no further.

Nice find heat added!!!

Absolutely, should be red hot. I bought 3 bottles; 1 as a gift, 1 to drink and 1 to save in its limited edition box. With the tendency toward NAS I wonder how much longer they'll be doing a specified 12 yrs.

I remember getting it for £14 but that was a store specific offer so a one off really!

Same price on Amazon with free delivery. Great price, heat added.

Great price

I'll do the normal HUKD comment though and say don't buy this one get the Blue instead even though the prices are very different...

Hot

Does Amazon come with the box?

Is this MUCH better than the red? Its incredably harsh stuff.

This is a quite unbelievable price (£25.71 per litre). You cannot buy it duty free anywhere in the world at this price. And before someone makes the point, yes I do realise that this is only a 70cl bottle and that duty free is sold in 1L bottles !

Someone posted on the Amazon deal for this (same price) that its smoky in flavour, I agree and it depends how you like your whisky. But yes much better than the red.

Peaty, non peaty, sweet etc I dont mind and like the sampling but I remeber getting the Red and there being a very rash metallicy taste to it. I will try a bottle of this, thanks.

very good price

Ordered 4 for presents and used the 500 extra points code.

Great code when you think how much its worth, I used it too!

4 for £57 for new shoppers using discount code XX3FP6

very nice (hic) X)

Never found a blended whisky that I really like. I've heard this is different. Will this rival a good single malt? And how peaty is it? I can't stand overly peaty whiskies. A little hint of smokiness is okay but I like that honeyed ambery stuff that caresses the throat and just gently warms, rather than the stuff that burns.

wow, this dangerous! good find OP

Prefer the double black! Good price though.

In my opinion and I'm the OP no it won't rival a good single (depending on what you consider good). Its hard to say because this type of question is so subjective, I would say smoky but not peaty. Give it whirl at this price, it doesn't get cheaper.

Sounds like you are talking about the 15yr old Dalwhinnie, such a great tasting whisky

Black Label "Gold" is decent sipping whisky.

Dalwhinnie is lush. I'm a big fan of the "Origin" 10 year Jura too.

Better than most single malts in the same price range, hot
