Johnnie Walker Blue Label £98.99 @ Amazon
Johnnie's top label for less than 100... Very rare it drops below this price.

I've never had the pleasure to taste this as it's quite pricey but this is now in purchasable territory and stash it for a big occasion.

god damn you prime day

Would love to try this... Ahhh!

But it's not a malt... I do not understand this price for a blend! Can anyone explain?

I think it is like a fountain pen. It's not something you would ever buy for yourself, but it's something suitably expensive that you would buy as a gift for someone who you don't know well enough to know what they really want.

P.S. If anyone feels the urge to buy me a £100 bottle of whisky, I'll take a 12 y/o Yamazaki

As I understand it... a blend takes considerable skill to prepare and make every bottle taste the same (we're talking combining 20-30 different whiskies together and still have it be distinctly recognized as Black, Gold, Blue, etc.). It's an artisan whisky.

You mean you have to write down the ingredients? Doesn't sound that hard.

In got 1 litre off this worked in factory in Kilmarnock where it was bonded

Very good price

A nice whisky, very smooth. Wouldn't pay this price again though, prefer to get 2-3 malts for this price.

Well... the ingredients aren't like flour and sugar... we're talking about other aged malts... so if they fuq up and run out of particular malts... they need to find a substitute that still makes the product end up tasting the same.

Very good always wanted to try

I know, I know, I'm just being a diq! Largely cos I can't afford to drop nigh on £100 for a bottle of sauce. I don't think my palate could discern the difference between this and one costing a fifth of the price.
