Blended...... oO
Imagine how much a shot this would be in a bar! They'd have to sell for £3.50 to at least get their money back.
Can this really be worth 2 or 3 times the price of some excellent single malt whiskies? I reckon this is for rich people that want a whisky for mixing, don't want to be seen buying anything cheap, but know that if you mix single malt with lemonade people will laugh at you ...
Me favourite blend.
Based on price, this is a hot deal

you can get poor single malts, just cos it's blended that doesn't mean it's bad. this is a blend of good, aged whiskys... This is the cheapest I've ever seen it and I've been wanting to try it for ages... I'm buying one. thank you wilz149
thanks, bought

Apparently Richard Nixon used to mix it with ginger ale, so make of that what you will
Tried this a while back, would rather have a £35 bottle of single malt. Yes its nicer than a typical blended, no it isnt as good as a halfway decent single malt.
To be honest, I prefer drinking Speyside Single Malts (Glenlivet 18) but for people who wanted JW Blue, this is a good deal. I searched on uk.camelcamelcamel and this is a good price to buy at.

Agreed - got for Xmas when cheaper and though nice and very smooth still a blended and find a nice single malt is my preference.
Synonymous with premium blended whisky, Johnnie Walker Blue Label is the rarest whisky from this world famous brand. Rich and slightly smoky, it's made up of some very old malt and grain Scotch whiskies. It's said that only on in ten thousand casks makes the grade. Johnnie Walker suggest enjoying neat alongside a glass of chilled water.

Lucky us, we've got a connoisseur... got a feeling you're the same as me and never tried it GazmoX... no it all that knows nowt
This is excellent, probably not worth 3 bottles of malt whisky based on price but it's definitely better than the malts i've tried. It's sweet, slightly smoky and very smooth. Yes it's a blend but its a blend of some very old and excellent whiskies so it is superior.

What's your point, or do you even have one..?
There are blended whiskies at more than £100k which probably trump your glenfiddich 12.
I see the "single malt brigade" are out in force... If you'd care to share with us why a single malt is deemed superior to a blend without just saying it's because you've been told it...? Blends are better for getting a uniform taste year after year - like a fine wine, single malts differ from each year. As far as blends go this is the best of the best and only contains whiskys that are at least 45 years and up to 70 years aged... Now get off your high horses and stop being little sheeple that can only recite what you've been told!

Its not, a good whisky makes a good whisky. The problem is a lot of people try blends first (like bells, teachers etc) and are forever put of by them. There are very good blends out there.

As above a uniform taste is only a good thing if the whisky is good in the first place. Saying this single malts are tested my the masters in each distillery and most are very similar to the previous year, the ones that aren't generally have a year on to indicate when it was from.

Don't tell JW that, they'd be very upset that John Walker King George and V John Walker Odyssey that cost a lot more don't shine as well and I have to assume the top of the range Chivas Regal and Ballantines would top this. But hey, this is your opinion as there we go. For me Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix is the best blend I've had.

Why should they? They have an opinion just like you! If you are happy with this, that's great, why force your views on others?
Great price purchased

Oh Peat Monster, how I miss your taste upon my lips.
And no, I know nothing of this drink you talk of, whikey, or was that whisky. Like I say, nothing.
I wouldn't buy it, .....but surely that is irrelevant to a hot vote.

We are supposed to be adding a hot vote for a bargain, NOT because we wouldn't buy it.

A quick Google search shows this product at much higher prices elsewhere.

This IS a bargain.

Hot.
My bottle got delivered today... Looking forward to cracking it open

exactly. I've posted deals on whisky and within about 30 seconds it's gone cold - no way could anyone have had time to research if it's a good deal or not. They always eventually heat up though so it's obvious that there are people on this site that just automatically vote cold.
"For me Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix is the best blend..."

Snow Phoenix was a marrying of purely Glenfiddich malts of various ages etc. though. More like a non-age statement single malt. And I bought as many as I could afford...
micdmaloney

Glenfiddich malts of various ages

So a blend...

So a blend...

No.
Glenfiddich casks, vatted together is Glenfiddich single malt.
No grain spirit added. No malt from other distilleries.
Or do you define single malt only if its a single cask, cask strength, non-chill filtered?
