Quidco are giving members £60 off the normal price of £135 if you buy a bottle of their Blue Label. They also do engraving for free as a Fathers Day promotion. Plus free delivery EDIT: Sorry, its free insurance, not free delivery.

I haven't been fortunate enough to try Blue Label, but I hear it's quite excellent.

Even if you don't have Quidco, I still think it's worth it as membership is only £5 a year.

Would this be a good investment? as no way i would drink it @ that price

Fantastic find OP - this Whisky tastes amazing! And as suggested ... perfect gift for the old man!

Excellent tipple, wish I had kids to buy it for me. Fantastic price too, not much more than the gold label but much nicer

Great price, even cheaper than the last bottle I purchased in Singapore Duty Free, which generally has some of the best prices in the world

im sorry but where does the £75 price come from?

£145 - £60 = £85 + £10 to join quidco so total of £95? am i missing something?

Sorry, the bottle is £135. My mistake.

Quidco is also only £5.00 yearly membership, taken from cashback earnings.

No investment value IMHO - it's just a regular whisky, albeit at the premium blend end of the market.

Definitely a good price compared to what others are asking, although some might argue it's way overpriced to begin with...

You only pay £5 against your cashback as pointed out by cuzzy,

3 simple steps

1. Buy the bottle of johnnie walker via quidco site, after registering (make sure you clear your cookies etc before clicking quidco link)

2. £60 (hopefully) tracks from website, and eventually paid into quidco

3. You then withdraw quidco earnings to bank a/c, (at which point you will have to pay £5 membership if you havent done so already)

So effective cost is £75 / £80 depending on wether you have a current quidco sub AND the cashback tracks ok

Edit

quidco website

Please read the following before proceeding:In order … Please read the following before proceeding:In order to validate your cashback you will need to manually supply us with your Johnnie Walker order number. The form to do this will be available through your earnings page once your initial transaction has tracked (it can take up to 24 hours for your transaction to track). The cashback offer is valid for online sales only.Unless otherwise stated, cashback is only paid on the basket value excluding VAT & delivery charges.

So hopefully no problems with tracking cookies failing etc

people please stop nit-picking - the OP has found a gem of a deal here (the purpose of the site) RRP £135 with offer £75!!! That is £60 off RRP ... FACT! Whether you like it or not, whether you'd pay it or not and whether you are after this or not, is irrelevant! The question is whether this is a deal and the answer is yes! This is a 'HOT' 'UK' 'DEAL'!!!!

This is a great find, well done. Heat and rep from me...

Agreed. Heated and repped. Although I normally stick to single malts this might be a nice one to stash away for special occasions.

I wasn't referring to your comment 'dear'! anyhow, seeing though you want to be paranoid ... have a drop of 'reduced price blue label' to calm your nerves and enjoy life! As LG (Electronics brand) would say ... Life's good!

Order 2 and keep the engraved one as your display one on your bar at home!

Just ordered a bottle, been wanting to try it for a good while, and at this price it's bordering on an acceptable price :-D

it only costs £5 if that's the only Quidco deal you do in a year.
Mind you....I can easilly see someone daft enough to pay that much for whisky being that silly. ;-)

Great price for a great investment, i darnt buy as i cant trust myself if i have one too many!! Nightmare thought to wake up the next morning and find i had broken the seal on this for a nip!

Am boycotting Diageo products as they posted record profits, yet still closed the Johnnie Walker factories in the West of Scotland.

savejohnniewalker.org/?id…ome

Kilmarnock is part of the blend!
Without Kilmarnock, Johnnie Walker is just another blend. Without Johnnie Walker, Kilmarnock and Hurlford will spiral into decay.
According to Diageo official statistics, Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky sold 16.2 million 9-litre equivalent cases in 2008 - making it the worlds number one Scotch whisky. The whisky has come from Kilmarnock since 1820 and is an extremely profitable business however London based owners Diageo want to make even more money and are prepared to rip the heart out of the towns in order to achieve this.

NO THANKS DIAGEO

This whisky has added caramel, is bottled at 40% and is chill filtered and costs £75. No way. You are only paying for the brand, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

]See here for much fatherly love.

P.S £30 odd quid and bottled at 60%!!!!

I got this as a gift from my best man on my stag do! I can say this is one of the best whiskeys I've ever had! and a bargain at £75!!!

This should be in misc, as it is a quidco only deal. Without quidco, it is not a hot deal.

Totally agree. Johnnie Walker is the Apple of the whisky world - way over-priced, style over substance and typically only bought because of the branding.

You will get whiskies which are ten times as nice as this for a fraction of the price.

exellent price , i had a bottle last year and you can tell why it's expensive , bloody nice whisky . heat added.

Is this for 1litre of 70cl?

What a lovely Fathers day pressie this would make, but my lad is only 5 so I am not holding out much hope for this year! Nice find nevertheless, I always keeep an eye out for their highly sought after Green Label too, but only once have I ever came across it ... in the duty free at Frankfurt airport of all places. Hot....

I'm sure I bought some Green Label from Tesco a couple of years back :-D

I do think £75 for a blended whisky is steep, I'd rather have a good single malt than a glorified bottle of bells!

Did you know they add caramel colouring to whisky to make it that colour? I used to work in a bottling plant. All whisky gets it added even the top ones, or it would be a straw/p!ss colour.

Blue Label — Johnnie Walker's premium blend. Every bottle is serial numbered and sold in a silk-lined box, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. There is no age declaration for Blue Label, however, the owners of the plant state that it is aged no less than 20 years. 80 proof. It is perhaps the most expensive blended Scotch on the market, fetching prices upwards of $200 a bottle.

Great price for the whisky.

But paying £75 for a blended whisky (£60 off!), is wrong. Very. It's quite nice. But not much better than black bottle whisky at about £15 a bottle for blended.

I would much rather spend £75 on and Ardbeg Corryvreckan, Laphroaig 18yo, or a couple of bottles of Caol Ila distillers edition.

Is this benuine botch bhiskey?? Your not trying to pull the bool over my beyes??? :0)

Dont waste your money buying it for someone else!! I would definatly keep that in the cabinet for myself! I have a couple of bottles of gold label at home and i dread to think how many bottles of black label I have get through in my time, Blue label is spectacular and I would recommend it to anyone who knows about scotch. And with Gold Label costing about £50 its well worth the step up!!

Heat and Rep on the rocks!!

I would scarcely recommend it to people who know nothing about whisky.

YES YES YES. This or the Ardbeg Uigeadail.

very tempted, even at duty free they sell for around the 100£+ mark (and i think i saw that as a special offer!!) but would be too ****** off if quidco didnt track/payout.,

fantastic price for a great drink. Have some heat!

never not had anything track by quidco yet, £279.04 so far including 50 odd quid ones for pay monthly phone.

I think we can agree that Blue Label is overpriced for what you get but this is a good price. The cheapest I've seen this is around £100 duty free. At that price its just to be looked at!

mumbojumbo;8812960

Swizz! You can't buy this without engraving. :x

And how much does that cost?
