For those who have tried both. How does this compare to the Green?

Green is Smokey and might not be for everyone .. Gold is smoother
Gonna pick one up for Christmas. Nice one thanks!
At this price, this is a steal. I don’t even drink and would have bought this, if not for already having about 10 bottles that are opened every now and then for Family and Friends.(Though a Platinum label for around £40 would be quite tempting)

More delicate with honeyed vanilla, almonds and a light smoke finish. Some think it's "boring", but I'm quite partial to it. Green is much more exciting on the tongue.

Gold is a blended whisky so there’s grain spirit in there. Green is a blended single malt, so no grain whisky and the 4 distilleries that make it are marked on the box and has a 15 year age statement... I don’t get why gold is priced higher...

Talisker, linkwood, Coul ila, and I cant remember...

Blended malt, not blended single malt. All single malts are blends of... a single malt distillery.

You’re right, typing too quickly. You’ll agree that element is a little confusing, I think it goes, Single cask, single malt, blended malt, blended whisky, urine, haig club.

Also the greens 43%..
Far better available at this price point - this is definitely overpriced. It was good when it was 18yo but it's now NAS.
