Call mamas and papas on 0345 2682000

5/2/16 update:
We went to Mamas and Papas to see if this fits in the car. Very helpful staff, fitted the car seat for us and pretty much told me that our main car seat (a Cybex) was fitted incorrectly......oops!
The Joie is quite upright in the car but suits our needs as it'll only be used as a spare for short journeys.
As per comments below I would really recommend that you have any car seat checked by suitably trained people.

Also worth noting that Mamas and Papas no longer sell the isofix base for this car seat. If you buy the Joie I-Anchor car seat you need the Joie I-Anchorfix base.
The newer seat - Joie I-anchor Advance fits the Joie I-Base Advance......... found out the hard way and now I have a headache!

Wow this is a great buy! had mine last time there was a deal for £165 but this is even better! Great sturdy seat. Smooth strap system and easy to fit! LO has been very happy in it 12 months and going strong!
ensure this fits in your car well first before buying online as there have been numerous problems with the lack of recline due to the car's seats sloping a bit causing little one's heads to flop - there's a whole fb page dedicated to problems :-(
I also believe Joie have changed the fitting recommendations so it can no longer be seatbelt fitted (in order to comply with iSize regs)
Thanks, I was hoping someone would say it's good. We needed a spare seat for the in-laws and wanted something that's I-size compliant.
Dear lord you're right. These seats sound like a nightmare. I think mamas and papas are sending me the new base (the advance?) but it's definitely the older style car seat. Will call tomorrow to try and change the order. Thanks for the advice.
I asked but they wouldn't price match cause toys r is is different colour

That's ok... I just started looking into it last week as a friend asked for help finding another erf seat as mothercare sold her one and is way too upright in her car but they will only exchange not refund. can't believe the number of people who've had problems and Joie are still allowing them to be sold to people where car is obviously not compatible.
I think the problem is more the useless high street retailers who haven't noticed that the seat is too upright when installed in some cars, not Joie allowing the seats to be sold. It's a bargain price for an extended rear facing seat if it does fit your car.

yes, but surely it's Joie's responsibility to properly train retailers and they should be checking up on them
I have this in my Toyota Aygo it fits great & no head rolling whilst asleep bargain as I paid 175 for mine back in June
I have done hours and hours of research on the internet and in-store and we are going to see Klippan Kiss 2 seat as it seems to be very good safety wise and not that big so will fit smaller cars and looks like it has good recline.
I would check the facebook group "Joie I anchor car seat issues" before purchasing this. Many people there are trying very hard to get a refund due to issues with things like severe head flop because of the lack of recline. Joie states that the car seat is compatible with cars that it isn't which is the cause of the problem.
Do not buy this car seat online. Make sure you see it in your car first even if Joie say it fits your car. If it looks upright on full recline your baby/toddler will have head roll. Joie's solution is use a wedge which makes the harness hard to fastern as the clip part is too short for the bulked up position. It's very hard and stressful trying to get a refund as it's a poor design and not a fault.
I'm a mum of 3 and I've never seen head roll so bad, absolutely no side protection and my son's head was on his chest. Trading standards are in talks with Joie and unless they can provide crash testing where the dummy was in the head roll position at the time of impact they won't accept the seat as safe.

Joie provide the fit list not the retailer. Although the retailer should spot it isn't suitable.
