They also have the fab Group 1 / 2 / 3 Car Seat (ages 9mths - approx 11yrs) that seems great value for money at just £26.99 (plus £2.99 Del for orders under £49.99), it has excellent reviews (scoring 4.9 / 5 from 1999 reviewers), ideal for a spare to keep at the grandparents or to move on from a travel system seat when they outgrow it.

Comes in either Black / Red (on the link) or Black / Grey (http://www.kiddicare.com/p/Kiddicare_Traffic_SP_Group_1_2_3_Car_Seat_in_Black_and_Grey.htm), I've had a good look around & can't see any group 1/2/3 group car seat as cheap as this, even Halfords essentials (which doesn't score as highly review wise) is only on offer from £40 to £35.
Complies with ECE R44/04 - check to make sure it will fit your car HERE (https://images.static.worldstores.co/images/sites/Kiddicare/landing_pages/images/generic/TRAFFIC%20Group%20123%20BELT%20FIT%20Fitting%20List%20Europe_UPDATE_JUNE_2016.pdf)

Suitable from 9 months and up, the Traffic SP car seat boasts side-impact protection and extra head support to keep your child as safe as possible in the event of a collision. A height-adjustable headrest provides extra support for older children.

Easily attached with your car's 3-point seat belt, the Traffic SP is simple and easy to install. The easy to adjust harnesses means little one is always secured correctly, with padded head, arm and seat supports to cushion and comfort your child.

As your child gets older, this car seat transforms into a high back booster seat, making this perfect for those fast growing kids. A lightweight frame makes this easy to switch between cars and the removable covers are hand washable and simple to take on and off

Had a similar travel system pram from Kiddicare for my son who is nearly 14 now! Loved it!

Have never been able to understand those mums who wanna waste hundreds and hundreds of £ on a pram! Even worse when it's £500 etc and doesn't even include a car seat!

I didn't drive at the time either, so needed be able get on and off busses etc too that didn't have easy access or pram access/space back in those days either. And in and out of taxis, so having the baby car seat helped there. And I managed to cram tons of shopping into the basket underneath from the supermarket, and using clips on the handle, having bags hanging there too.
Doesn't look very compact when collapsed.
