This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Joie spin 360 is at the moment £220, with code goes to £198.
With the promotion going on x21 points per £, you can still get an extra 6 points per £ from parenting club. That would mean you will get 4158 base plus 1187 from parenting club, meaning £53.46 pounds into your boots card.

That will mean, this car seat will cost 144, a bargain in my honest opinion. We have it, and we love it.

However, much like the other rules about high backs v booster, the rules said as long as you bought before the rules came in you can continue to use. So I’m wondering if I bought this now for my son who is 7 months (even if I don’t use it for a few months) to use rearward facing until he’s at least 15m (longer in all likelihood) then if more rules come in next year will we be told we can’t use it any longer because it’s not isize or will we be able to use because it was bought before rules come in? It’s difficult because the rules aren’t out yet and so no manufacturer can say what will happen. I just don’t want to buy this now then have to buy another on a year. Anyone know any better??

There is an awful lot of confusion surrounding child seat regulations, let me try and clear it up!

There are currently two sets of regulations (not laws, that’s a different thing) relating to the manufacture and use of child seats. R44 is the long-running but still current regulation and R129 (which is also known as i-size) is the newer regulation. R129 has been in force alongside R44 since 2013, so it’s well-established now and nothing else is going to change in the near future. Seats relating to either regulation will be both sold and legal to use for many years yet.

The main way in that R129 (I-size) regulation differs from the old R44 standard is that the tests a child seat has to pass now include a side impact test, and all infant carriers and Group 0+&1 combination seats must allow a child to stay rear facing to a minimum of 15 months old. You have to use the seat rear facing until your child is 15 months old if it’s an R129 seat.

Manufacturers currently have the choice of which regulation to test and certify their seats under, and in fact Maxi Cosi have just released their new 9-36kg seat (the Titan) under R44/04, not the new R129 (I-size) regulation.

The new I-size regulation hasn’t really made any difference to the safety levels of the seats sold by the big brands like Maxi Cosi, Britax, Joie etc. All these manufacturers have always tested their own seats in-house to higher speeds than the R44 regulation requires and they have also always side impact tested their seats at the same speed R129 requires even though they didn’t have to. So to rule out a branded child seat based on the fact it’s not I-size doesn’t make sense.

And however much the manufacturers bang on about I-size and the increased safety levels it allegedly offers the fact is that the safest seat you can currently buy for your child is a seatbelt-fitted rear facing one with a 25kg weight limit that’s certified under R44, not R129. That will allow you to keep your child rear facing to a minimum of 4 years, and hopefully longer. 15 months is still way too young for a child to face forward in the car.

So in summary stick to big brands for any type of child seat, and keep your child rear facing for as long as you can. Seatbelt-fitted seats are not going to be phased out (future releases of i-size seats will include seatbelt-fitted ones), and seats that are approved to R44 will be sold and safe to use for a long time yet.

Fab seat I love ours, it has saved my back !

Not to mention how easy it is to lock the kid in place, specially a toddler.
Smoking. Been waiting so long for this to drop to previous £180's, £170 would have been amazing so this is blazing. Many thanks
Our kipper is 14months old, I'm just wondering if it's worth it for the short remaining timespan or are there any spin seats for groups 1 and 2

Eveyone is different, even me and my other half cannot agree on seats for our child . Buy what you think is best and not go by other people. Go to some big store and try all. Also children seats get dirty so best not to buy expensive ones and carry a dirty seat in the car because just because it is expensive.

If you have intentions of having another kid, go for it. I wouldn't look at their age but at their weight.
If your son is to the light side, then I would go for it, my son is three and half but already surpassed the weight on it, however I do have a daughter who is younger and a lot lighter so this seat will be good for her.
As far as I know, there aren't any spinning 2 3 ones.

Of you use the car a lot with your kid, this will make your life easier. Is the cheapest I've ever seen, is comfortable, doesn't move, he stays in place. The 360 is best thing. You can get used to a normal one, but if you try this one you will not want to go back. Putting baby makes it easier for you and more comfortable for them. Not to mention you will probably won't have to strain your back to reach certain places, knock your head in the car... You can do everything and see everything in front of you and not sideways.

But again, I know is expensive. but you can always save it in case you want another kid or try to sell it afterwards. I bought a Graco milestone, and I hate it with passion! Is a good car seat, but while my son takes 20 seconds to set him up, takes 1 minute or more to set up my daughter.
Try eBay!
T&C say ‘qualifying items’, so I’d triple check.

A pal recently found out the hard way that car seats weren’t included in point offers. (Not this specific one, so just saying double check first!)

You buy them and return the ones you bought now with the old receipt, not sure how long is the refund limit tho but then again I know people don't have that kind of money sitting around..
Edited by: "taniasush" 2nd Sep 2018
We have two how ever they were near on £200 each but they have been game changing, safe, easy to clean and the swivel action makes life so much easier for everyone.
100% recommend very sturdy, a breeze to put our girls in and out.. minor real world issues the straps do sometimes twist in the buckles but easy to sort out.. had ours 18months and never regretted it.. HOT

It's massive and I've used it so it's a lot of hastle for £40 quid

Born to grow - Group 0+/1 car seat begins as a rearward facing infant seat up to 18kg, then can convert to a forward facing seat from 9-18kg.
Hope that helps
Had one of these for over 2 years - totally recommended
I didn't buy this seat until our daughter was around 14m and at £250 as there were no offers when we needed the next size seat, I don't regret that price as it's been so good. She is still rear facing in it ATM at 28m and 12 kg so I would say she has at least another year she can stay in it and rear facing which is SO much safer.

You return the new car seat unopened with the old receipt, same colour and all. But I don't know for how long boots accepts returns. Can't remember if it is 14 or 28, still, it is a bit of a hastle.

When I bought the Pampers didn't show the points either, only in the confirmation email I got afterwards. In the terms, you will still collect 6 points per £. I was surprised it showed the parenting points in the checkout when I tried with the seat. Are you registered in the parenting club? I know is a silly question but I logged again and the points were all there, base + parenting.
We have one in each car, and need two more for the youngest. Great deal.
Yes, as I said I am registered in the club and the points are not appearing at checkout. I'm going to hold out for an I-size seat anyway but just posted the info to warn others to check.

Brilliant seat and at this price even more so. A doddle to fit, a lot lighter than others and feels so secure when in place. Scorching.

I had a similar car seat that said was suitable from birth but when we picked up my grandson from the hospital it clearly wasn't. The straps are way to big and swamp a newborn without holding them securely, rear facing or not. My advice, get a group 0 for the first 6 or so months. Much more appropriate for a newborn and great to carry from the car when asleep without disturbing them

Agreed. My 7 month old is still too small for a Group 1 seat.

Anyone with Nationwide Rewards check your account.

I've got 10% off my next Boots purchase showing.

re this seat.....will it fit any car or is it isofix?

so the main feature is that it can rotate?

We have an 18 month old and another one on the way. We are in and out the car A LOT so I'm guessing this would be good for us?
