Don't buy this seat, it is riddled with problems. Check the Joie Facebook page and search for more information. The company has horrendous customer service too..
we have had this seat for well over a year. no issues! it's fantastic actually.
There are two versions of this seat, the newest one was released last year and fixed the previous problems. We bought it a couple of months ago and think it's great. Very comfortable and easy to fit. We lost part of the padding and rang Joie who replaced it for free with first class postage too.

Some people say about heads flopping forward, but as with any car seat, go to mothercare or Halfords and ask them to fit it into your car for a look before you buy online. Every car has different seat angles and different car seats fit better in different cars.

Great seat for us so heat.

Do you have it fitted front facing?
We've been using one of these rear facing for the past year, my daughter is 2 next Sunday (but above average in height) and fits perfectly. The only issue with rear facing is trying to find a car it fits in that can then still have sensible front leg room - a problem we are facing right now, especially as my wife doesn't want a huge car

It's the Joie iAnchor that has issues - mainly recline isn't sufficient for tiny ones. The recline on the Stages is excellent.
We've had 2 for over 18 months and no problems.
Some of the comments are about the head-rest polystyrene breaking... a problem that can occur in any carseat (not just Joie seats) due to the fragile nature of the polymer.

We have it rear facing at the moment and I see your problem in our near future. We have a focus and a4 and the little one will be a bit cramped within the year. But then, watching the Joie videos or videos about the pros of rear facing seats, all children look uncomfortable and that it is unavoidable.
I have this car seat. It's great and we've had no problems with it. The only minor niggle is that the straps sometimes get a bit twisted and can be tricky to sort once the little one is in the car.
