I bought this today as a car seat for my daughter. They've recently announced that this seat is suitable for rear facing until 18kg or when your child is 4, which makes it a steal at this price. woman in Argos tried to charge me £132, and said the price has been changed today so reserve now whilst you can!!

It does look like it is rear-facing to 18kg but from what I have read it has a pretty small shell and it is likely the child will grow out of it, in length, before they get near to 4 yrs old. A fantastic price for a erf seat though!

Rear facing your child at the age of 4? I think this is a torture to the child.

I think safety comes above all else, there are countries that enforce rear facing as it is so much safer, torture or not at least you have the knowledge that your child is safer, hot hot hot

Rear facing to 18kg my twins are 3 and rear facing in the Joie stages well below 18kg

As for torture well my twins has say they prefer backward they ask to sit normal they have sickness when facing forward in their aunts car but they're so used to rear facing as its all they know
One says he can see more.. they love looking for churches.
I have one who crosses his legs and the other who has his over the sides or up the back of the seat
At work I have a customer who has twins who are 6 months older than mine
She was driving one to the Dr who was sick (other at home with dad) when she was hit by a speeding driver. Her son who was in a Britax car seat at 20 months was flung forward damaging his neck and spinal cord and left with cracked ribs and paralysed. He needs constant care and it has been life changing now had he been rear facing the back of the seat would have taken the impact he make have broke a leg I would rather that any day. His parents campaign for rear facing and clearer guidelines it is 4 in Sweden by law
It hit me also been a mum of twins I could not imagine my two not always playing and running together it's heartbreaking
He was in a forward facing chair had been since 10 months

I agree, definitely safety first. Although I would always advocate for spending a bit more on a larger model (but they obviously cost quite a bit more and require a large car, so are not for everyone)

How very sad...i am totally onboard with R/F and i hope it becomes law here. My main annoyance is people say the seats are expensive but think nothing of £600 for a pushchair..a cheap pushchair wont kill them. Investment should be in the seat x
