Why not just use Nokia PC suite via bluetooth?

Why not just use Nokia PC suite via bluetooth?

I think you may have missed the point about what this does. It allows you to use your phone's 3G connection with *any* wifi device, such as an iPod Touch, Archos 5, N800, etc, as well as just PCs. PC suite isn't available in the Apple App Store yet, as far as I know... :-)

However, the 'Light' version doesn't open all ports, so you may find there are several things (email being one of them, as I recall) that won't work with this option. If all you want is to browse web pages on the http protocol (port 80), then it'll be fine, but I decided to upgrade to the full version, which I find useful and well worth the investment.

Thanks for putting me right. So this makes your phone a sort of wifi hotspot? Albeit one that's not that hot.

Yes, exactly. The 'full' version is pretty warm.

thanks

That's cool!!

yeah i downloaded this to my 5800 and it works a treat, tried it on some Laptops in work and i intend to use it with conjunction with my iPod Touch when i get it for my birthday.

Great app, wondering whether to invest in the full version.

Won't this still register on the network as you using a laptop browser breaking the terms and conditions of all network providers?
