I'm sure this deal won't be for everyone however as a previous CSMA member I received an email this morning offering a years membership for £17, and with that you get a £15 gift card. The card can be claimed for Boots, Sainsburys, B&Q, HMV, Debenhams, Asda, Toys R Us, and Tesco. The card can also be reloaded at a discounted rate.

The membership entitles you to access to all the club benefits, including deals on insurance, eating out and shopping, as well as discounted rates at luxury leisure retreats, holidays and travel.

To be eligible to join CSMA Club, you or a family member must work or have worked for the Civil Service or any organisation with its roots in the Civil Service, such as BT or the Post Office. Your partner, siblings, parents or children are also welcome to join.

Not bad with the free Motor legal Cover I guess (if you bother with that).

Good deals with the magazine......

Looks like there's some decent discounts on there, never heard of it before tho

Waby1234, can you clarify if this link gives you the £15 'for recommending a new member' or not. I am not overly excited if it is but feel it should be stated if it is?

Membership used to be free.
When they started to charge membership, I cancelled my continuous credit authority for my breakdown cover, albeit the day after it was due. They absolutely refused to the refund membership fee - even though it was not in force when the continuous credit authority was originally set up. In the end I cancelled the credit card to stop the thieving gets.
The idiots still sent the mag out for the next year also.

Thanks OP - I currently work for BT so will have to look into this

I believe every membership gets the £15 - you don't have to recommend.

I used to be a member and cancelled a couple of years ago but this seemed a decent deal as its an effective cost of £2. Being able to top up the card at a discounted rate was also something possibly worthwhile.

Update: I've checked the offer and the email one does not require you to recommend. I've just signed up and they are also running a similar offer if you do recommend so may even be able to get £30 back if you can use both offers.

Many thanks, seems worth it to me, signed up

Worth it for the car insurance........amazing savings.
