You could even do both, just set up different email accounts.

They're learning...

I joined a couple of months back not through this though just a months free trial, well worth it i love it and so do the kids way better than the other one!

i did this deal about 8 months and got 3 months free trial then cash on top for paying, and I still pay now, the kids love watching the shows, and I like watching all the older films - £6 is a bragain for this per month,
aslo just got 3 months free lovefilm for my new ps3 purchase from amazon as well,

doesanyone have a preference over the netflix or lovefilm

LOVEFiLM

Then join Netflix..

This has been around for a while, I just got my £15 confirmed from them, amazing that I'm being paid to watch TV! Love film also offer something similar £12 for new users quidco.com/lov…?ac but from my experience its a lot harder to cancel Lovefilm so allow yourself more time than on the days before your money comes out for a second month to cancel it.

You have to watch at least 5 hours of content aswell...I just set my pc running with a few films

Lovefilm offer unlimited streaming for £4.99 a month (I presume with the usual 15% off if you pay in advance) so compare the two services I'd suggest before you stick with one.

For £7.99 Lovefilm include unlimited blu-ray rental too (1 at a time) which seems an excellent deal, especially if you take the 15% prepayment discount.

ive been a netflix (us) member for 6 months now, worth every penny

I've just cancelled after the 1 month trial, very poor content, watched a few films, but the majority are from years ago.

Best to get an American DNS, more more on offer.

For £5.99 a month you expect to watch the latest movies? OK.

If you accept Netflix doesn't have the latest content, for the price, its fantastic. I've used it from the beginning and watched tonnes of stuff. Its recommended TV series I'd never heard of, but watched and loved, same with films. Social integration side is good too, see what mates are watching, things you might have missed and wanna watch yourself.

Netflix is like having your very own charity shop DVD collection

I've just went to browse their 'selection' it's pitiful. There's about 10 films per genre and loads of them are from 4od which you can access for free?

Sign up to unblockus and have access to netflix from US, Canada, Brazil etc all with their own content!

Canada has a very good movie selection (Captain America, Xmen: First Class, New Planet of the Apes movie amongst others) and brazil have alot of disney and pixar movies as well as all the Bond movies

Worth the £3 a month it costs

This, did this myself last night and the selection in the US is amazing compared to the UK. Well worth the £3

I am a paid member only got 5 at the moment

Netflix UK is still pretty poor with content - its not bad for US shows and for people who missed popular shows such as Prison break, breaking bad, 24, Heroes, Friday night lights, Dexter (uk netflix) etc its can provide alot of viewing for not alot of money a month.

I would highly advise changing DNS to get the US netflix service (i paid for unblock Us but believe free alternatives are available) - for £6 a month it has the wife and I considering lowering our Sky package right down.

Also gave Lovefilm a go, but found the interface (on ps3) to be nowhere near as good as Netflix and the 'instant' package a little lacking in modern films, no better than Netflix Us which at least has films as new as Captain America to watch.

I also found that Quidco paid out very quickly for netflix trail.

Yes, because we can get them elsewhere for free.

Go to tunlr.net to get free access to netflix US content (still have to pay monthly subscription to Netflix) and Hulu etc

Legally? Where?

Voting it cold, simply because the tracking on Quidco is so unreliable nowadays. I had tried the Netflix offer and got told I hadn't watched enough content, even though we had watchd about 10 whole movies via PC, countless hours of TV via the iPad too which the wife watched.

Did this at the end of June, Quidco didn't track for me either, despite going through the first two series of Breaking Bad within 2 weeks.

has anyone tried HD content through Netfix or lovefilm with low download speeds like in my area such as 1.5-2mb ?
is there a cheap way of watching through the telly as I dont have a PS etc?
does unblock us only work through pc and not tv?

I use tunlr also, its free and never had a problem

My son joined Netflix on the previous QuidCo offer, then cancelled his trial before the dealine. Although to confirmed on screen, they did Not cancel it. He stopped using thre account in case it caused an issue, and forgot about it.

They continued to take another 4 months subscriptions before he noticed on his bank card. When we asked for the money back they said they would refund the last month only our of "goodwill", had no record of the cancellation, and could not see history on the account pre-one month old so could not verify he hadn't used it. Yeah right!?!

I am not voting but on this basis I would not deal with a ocmpany like that. The content is limited, mostly TV series (old ones), and a lot less than Lovefilm. If they improved he content it might be worth it. You should not have to mask your Ip address toa US one, in my expeirence they eventually catch up with this practice and block those DNS server IP's - it's just a game of cat and mouse.

HTH someone.

I would just of reported it as a fraudulent transaction with my bank and let them deal with it.

Thanks for the link, using on my iPhone, is there a quicker way to switch the DNS for when I don't want to use Netflix US? Cheers.

So this is not as good as the 1st offer when Netflix arrived which was £18 for completing a free trial . But now it's only £14.01 after the 1st paid month

Can you explain how you did this?!

For a free alternative to UnblockUS - go here
and use the following DNS servers to get the great selection on Netflix that US customers get:

Primary DNS: 190.14.36.90
Secondary DNS: 109.123.111.24

1. Go to unblock-us.com/

2. Sign up using paypal, or 1 week free trial if u have not used before or have a new email address

3. Change the DNS settings on whatever you use to view Netflix (PS3 for me is easiest)

4. Go to how to set up

5. Choose region

6. Enjoy whatever the region has to offer

Quite possible the best description of Netflix I've seen X)

If it wasn't for my kid watching cartoons on it, I'd have cancelled long ago. Very rarely see anything new & worthwhile added.
