I presume they have no way of checking that dates given are actual birth dates or frankly if those children even exist. Argos think I have 30 kids, 2 birthdays per month, and an extra few birthdays just before Christmas!

I got it last year on my birthday, but never remember signing up to it.
I signed up but never got any vouchers either Wonder if this was their sneaky way of cajoling me to signup !

I received a £5 voucher code last week...
Always receive our vouchers without issue 🏻
Perhaps people not receiving their vouchers did not tick the “email me promotions” etc etc that every company has on these type of registration pages? Not done it myself but just a presumption.
register your many childrens birthdays with Krispy Kreme and you get a free doughnut for each birthday
It's a way of getting you to join their email list and get your birthday details so they can market stuff to you.
It was my birthday last week will they backdate it
Scam marketing by Argos. Never got any birthday voucher.

If they do then i can claim for the last 40 years !
I have never got one either, last week they sent a £5 off party for my childs birthday but you can’t even use it on some of the items,
Signed up using a fake child just for the fiver. Does it come on the Birthday of the child?

If only you had 364 more fake children
so ok guys, this is too good to be true right? and it would appear it isn't true!

how come some people are saying that they got the £5 voucher and others do not? why are they so special?
My friend registered her 5 kids, all of them got ‘happy birthday’ emails but no voucher,

They want the data so they can target toy emails more effectively, they can guess when a birthday is by tracking toy purchases. Ie if it happens around the same time every year then they make a good guess. Although i think the original idea of the campaign was more to sell birthday decorations and the such as there is massive markup on it.
Yeh it's not exactly a good deal. They're forcing you to spend £50! off to save £5. It's not like it's a free voucher!
roshambo24/06/2019 11:41

So many, and another 4 sets in the last couple of hours, plus some quints, and 3 sets of twins. All born on December 1st.
I had a £5 voucher for my birthday in may via email but assumed this was through the Argos app as had not signed up to this

in that case i am out.
I have had a £5 voucher for the last 4 years on my birthday but did not know children could be signed up to
The birthdays of my 12 kids are conveniently spread out across the year for these types of offers
But I've never had anything from Argos

Not correct, it's a £5 voucher to use on any item, but must be processed as an online order or fast track item. There is no minimum spend with the previous birthday vouchers I've had.
Thanks for posting @chapsuk we have added this to today's 'Highlights page'.
I would imagine the reason you ain't getting a voucher is because you lied - you think they do not check your social media or info to find out if you do actually have children?
