Won't let me complete registration. Will try again later. Thanks.

Got a free box from British Gas a while back. Not over impressed.

Not worth £22.95 IMHO

Don't forget to go through cashback £5.75 (member) on TCB or £3.85 Quidco.

They will spam you forever! I have received at least 3 calls a month from hotel chocolat tasting club sales asking me to come back for the last year dispite telling them I'm not interested they never get the message and I'm not the only one just Google it :-/ if your going to join I suggest not giving your real phone number

How do you get the second box for £6.95?

I ordered 2 last week, both at £6.95, using an old HUKD link that still worked.

No probs.

Dreadful company. I joined using a very similar offer last month. The "free" box didn't arrive but it was clear the £22.95 box was about to be sent. I spent over 40 minutes in a queue to speak to them. Level of customer service people avaialable is rubbish. Cancelled the whole thing down

I ordered despite the warnings

I used them last Xmas and had no issues whatsoever. This year I just did the same, put both boxes on 12 week renewal so I have loads of time to cancel and used my landline phone number rather than mobile as no phone is plugged in. That said cancelling was very easy, and I just get the odd voucher in the post to try to tempt me back.

Thanks.

Thanks op

They give 'em away! Am I tempted? Yes! Although I have had this offer before at a previous address. I've always found the customer service helpful, no trouble cancelling etc.

Thanks for this (both OP and tek-monkey), I've just ordered 2 boxes using the £6.95 link above.

Out of curiosity how do we go about unsubscribing and when would people recommend doing this (at the end of the month after I've received both boxes)?

Also, by adding the extra regular section (the second box) are we signed up for 2 x £22.95 subscriptions, or is the second seen as an add-on to the existing 1 x £22.95. Noting that the full price is only charged if we don't cancel.

The reason I ask is that I only put my bank details in once.

Thanks!

It took me a while to find it also but here's how you do it:

To cancel the subscription - hover over where is says "hello 'name'" in the top right corner, go to "manage my tasting club" then click "my regular selections" then on the far right next to each box you've ordered click the small "edit" text. Then on the next page scroll down to the bottom and in the bottom right corner you'll see "cancel this regular selection?" click that and follow the steps to cancel.

I think each box you choose will be an additional £22.95 subscription so it's definitely important to cancel it. What I've done is set it to 12 weeks instead of 4, so after they've arrived it gives me a good bit of time to cancel it. As long as you can remember then I'd recommend doing the same!

Great, thanks Sarah.

I also did some digging since posting my comment and found the same result. I'm glad we're both on the same wavelength.

Cheers.

Yes that's correct, if you add another box it will be an additional subscription. Each type/flavour of box is always a separate subscription, so always remember to go into "My Tasting Club"/"My Subsriptions/Boxes" (whatever it's called) and cancel each one separately when you need to. You can also change how often you want to receive the boxes (4/8/12 weeks). Be aware that they mark a box as dispatched a good while (maybe 1-2 weeks) before the estimated delivery date that shows, so don't leave it too late to cancel! It's super easy to cancel online, which is a relief, I hate making phone calls to strangers. :P

I haven't given them my real phone number either, I've heard that they do make a lot of marketing calls and I really do not want any of those. Other than that, I've always been happy with their customer service, they have always been friendly and professional and never hesitate to help in the rare cases when something's not right.

I love their chocolates and often shop in their high street stores and their webshop too, so I don't really have anything bad to say about them. I know they're expensive (so it's more like special occasion treats), but I think a lot of their chocs are super tasty. Very flavourful and not too sweet (depending on which chocs you choose of course).

Did you order these with the £9.95 box, separately, or individually??

I only ordered boxes at £6.95, and went for the classic and fortified. This created 2 subscriptions but the second just uses the card details of the first. You can go for all four boxes at £6.95 each if you want to, just remember to cancel.

Not voted either way, but I don't think the boxes are worth anything like £9.95.

When I try to create two accounts I get this message:

We've met before, but not online!Looks like you're already receiving … We've met before, but not online!Looks like you're already receiving selections from us.We've noticed that you have already got a Chocolate Tasting Club account with us and are receiving regular selections. To activate your account online you will need your online activation key code and membership number (both of which you'll find on your invoice letters or your membership card).

Is it because I'm having them sent to the same name? Same address?

I'm using different email addresses but it's only +1, +2 etc. before the @gmail.com

Edit: I tried going to My Club and it let me create additional subscriptions for the different flavours.

I was just under the impression you could create multiple subscriptions for the same flavour.

It's almost £1 per little piece of chocolate, insane.

Just signed up, £9.95 minus the £5.75 cash back, £4.20 for a box of chocolates from this place is a great deal. Wish I had seen the £6.95 deal tho
