Until sunday morrisons half there joints of beef on half price. As usual with morrisons offers it is limited to two per customer. But you could do what I did and buy two very large joints and cut them up at home into smaller ones. Stock that freezer.

Alternatively you could save yourself some money by going to your local butcher, Beef that has flavour and costs less than your supermarket.
I am not a butcher but fresh meat should not be wrapped in plastic.
Try your butcher you will be pleasantly surprised

Morrisons have there own instore butchers (all i have been into anyway) , and there own slaughterhouses, they cut and pack the meat instore like a local butcher would do, i would usually agree with you but Morrisons meat is by far the best as supermarkets are concerned, and your local butcher wont be selling for £4.49 a kg

I wasn't aware of any of the big supermarkets having their own slaughtering facilities. Cutting plants possibly.

I am more out of touch than I thought, although I've not worked in meat inspection since the MHS took over, must be about 16/17 years now!

you are right but you will find that morrisons cut 95% of meat in store and cut it from primals just like your so called local butcher its wrapped in clingfilm and does that mean it only has flavour when placed in a plastic bag and i doubt any local butcher will beat this price anyway
