Best dates that Tesco stocks.

you really need to try other dates
Yaffa dates are much better
These are almost certainly not Medjool, but a less expensive variety
Jordan River do sell Medjools and those products are labelled as such.

These should be decent enough dates for the price and I have added a box to my next order.

I'm somewhat of a date fanatic.
I would rank supermarket dates as follows

Waitrose fresh dates, occasionally available throughout the year, the eating experience is on another level
Tesco Finest Medjools HAve been pitted and are pretty good, best standard medjools in supermarkets
Sainsburys Zamli Like butter toffee caramels, really really great
Waitrose dates on a branch Fresh Deglet nours but quality varies, can be dry

I dont rate the others much

Nearly all of them grown in the same apartheid state .
I know it's just food but sometimes we have to do the right thing. Medjool dates are indigenous to the area and you'll easily be able to find ethical delicious cheap alternatives.
Sainsburys Medjool £4.50 in a dark purple box are not bad. Have a pack of Holland and Barrett Medjools not opened yet, but I am expecting them to be very good - I used voucher codes in combination with 3for2 sales.
