Anyone know if these are any good

I've had these for a few years and would recommend.
Reviews are good. And price lowest been on amazon for a while. Obviously knives are a hot topic at the moment
Got these and they're good. I think I got them cheaper in store at tkmaxx just before Christmas. Still an excellent price.

Yeah, I bought them from TXMaxx for £15 just after Christmas. Great knives
Fair enough this is probably a decent deal, but it's a complete falsehood that people need this many knives. A Victorinox Santoku and a breadknife will cover 99% of your kitchen tasks and the Victorinox will be vastly better than any knives which come in sets. This set doesn't even come with a Chef Knife (or gyuto) (which most would argue is the 3rd most important type of knife).

If you want to go beyond a Victorinox, you're probably looking at something like a Tojiro DP Santoku, but they cost upwards of £70. Don't even look at how much more expensive Japanese knives cost.

Oh, final thing. You actually don't want fluted knives because they can't be sharpened with whetstones.

Brilliant set had ours for nearly 5 years now. I'd buy them again if it comes to that
This is a weird set. If there's one knife you need in the kitchen, it's a Chef's Knife, and that's not in the set. Put this money towards a single decent Chef's Knife (Victorinox, Wusthof Classic, etc)
Sorry Ive got to disagree with those saying these are good quality knifes, I found them to be very average, not that sharp and dull quickly.

As a few other people have suggested, I subsequently bought a Victorinox chefs knife and paring knife which is all you really need, and would cost less than £43. They are way sharper and now my JJ knives just sit in the cupboard

I think these are decent. Had mine about 3-4 years now. Bought mine with the included carousel holder like someone has posted above for the extra £10 which I think is worth it to keep it all tidy. I’m not saying the single chef knife isn’t better as has been suggested, but for every day use these have been really good for me. Careful how you sharpen them though as most of the blade section is coated. They’re well balanced if placed on the work surface too so they blade doesn’t touch the surface.

You'd be surprised if you visited a proper family knife shop in Japan.a lot cheaper then I thought, though regret not buying one.

Go a similar set of Joseph Joseph knives. They are great
Great find. Thanks OP.
If they were £15 in txmax not a good price. Any recommendation for a decent knife set and any sharpener
Good deal over RRP but obviously not a decent set of knives!
